Bad quality food and more worse food preparation. If you are looking out for a good meal this is surely NOT the right place. The food is prepared with excess of oil and chilli powder and is obviously Tasteless.
The restraunt is a believer of Good Food taste comes from more oil and red chilli powder which can lead to acidity or acidic reflux in your food pipe. Then they end up preparing all same gravy for all the Indian dishes. I can say this as it was my 3rd visit to this place before which I had veg kofta and a paneer dish as well. So this time I went for a chicken tikka masala and at first the gravy was not properly prepared and only had taste of red chilli powder and nothing else. A tikka masala (paneer/chicken) gravy should be although rough in its texture but this one was simply a thin oily gravy which was just prepared for the sake of entertaining the ordered item. The price of chicken gravy was I guess Rs. 280 but it was not even upto for Rs. 100.
The satff and the shift manager when we were there to dine in was really good and did helped us to get the gravy corrected on our request but that couldn't help taste was bad only. I would appreciate the attending manager however as he came to us to check whether we were satisfied with the correction made to the food then and When I provided the feedback he did accepted it well and with all motivation to take it seriously to improve. The garlic naan preparation was very nice and worth eating all alone, because we had to do it as the chicken tikka masala went back to kitchen for correction. Laccha paratha is not actual preparation it's just Tandoori roti shaped accordingly and butter applied.
I have ordered sizzlers and all earlier so. Continental also is no good either, better and far better food options are available in the city.
Traffic Jam was a good place and personally my fav till 2019. We went for a dine-in The Place, ambience (1st floor) is really calming and refreshing. But when food is not good nothing counts as anyone going to a restaurant and paying expects atleast an edible food quality which is not found here. We had to leave eating rice with that gravy as we were not at all happy with what was served. and I had burning sensations in my stomach after that as well. We left without any argument as staff was cooperative and We knew not much can be done now.
You can check the photographs of gravy and see oil being released and see that we left the food. Not worth eating even if free. If you are ordering from for a home delivery then please think...
Read moreI dined at this very charming and cosy restaurant in Jabalpur on the evening of Thursday August 22nd 2025. I went along there with my Friend Riya and her Daughter Ishaanvi from Jabalpur along with our Friend Aishwarya from Hyderabad. We had been returning from a two night and three day stay at Mowgli's Den Resort in Pench 200km away. The return drive was a long one and we stopped off at Traffic Jam Food Junction Restsurant before retiring to our homes for the night. I was immediately struck by how clean the interior is and how the soft and warm colours adds to such elegance. I was also struck by the large fish tank under the TV and attached to the rustic wall effect. When I was a child I had such a love and fascination for large fish tanks. To watch the moving fish as one dines is such a novel idea. My Friend's Daughter Ishaanvi was running around playing with her yellow ball and engrossed into the fish tank. It is such a safe and child centered restaurant. I ordered the Palak Paneer along with Naan Bread. The Palak Paneer was so well prepared, so succulent and so nutritious. It was difficult to finish such luxurious food. My friends enjoyed the soup and each dish was delivered so quickly that I could tell how customer centered they are. I like such restaurants where the customer is always thought of first in all the journey of food from its order to delivery. I thoroughly recommend TJ Restaursnt in Jabalpur. If You come in famished I guarantee You will depart fully satisfied.
Yours Faithfully,

Read moreThis unpretentious little restaurant, tucked away on a first floor on Sadar Main Road, Jabalpur has food better than all the 5-star restaurants of Mumbai and even abroad. They excel, be it their vegetable bullets to paneer tikka to their non-veg offerings from continental fish to chicken drumsticks. Their soups are delicious in both veg and non-veg and their Chinese food is finger licking good. They serve sizzlers like real pros! Moreover, the food delivery is FAST and the rates are reasonable. The restaurant is small and simple but with a pleasant ambience and the staff is humble and helpful. The only department where they could do better are the desserts which they have a limited selection of (but I love their plain vanilla softy available downstairs) Traffic Jam makes life better in Jabalpur. It's one of the hidden gems of this town, being there for more than 35 years now but the standards of excellence...
