Bakewell — Restaurant in Jaipur Municipal Corporation

Just some time ago I bought a cake 🎂, 🍰 pastry, cookies 🍪, frozen food items 😀, etc from this bakery. One of the famous bakery shop in Raja park 🏞️ . My experience 😁 is really good 😊 but one thing a little bit I didn't like.

Here, there is a woman who is the owner of the shop and also makes cakes herself, her behavior is not so good to the customers. An uncle sits in the shop, his way of speaking is calm and good 😊.

Everything you need to eat and drink is available here like Frozen items :- McClain french fries 🍟, rolls , veggies roll , peas, etc. Icecream :- Family pack icecream 🍦, kulfi , etc. Puffs :- patties, donuts 🍩, palmiers, etc. Birthday decoration items 🥳:- Fringes, balloons🎈, candles, etc . Cookies 🍪🥞 :- chocolate cookies 🍪, jeera cookies, brownie cookies, etc. There are many more, which means the list will keep getting bigger and bigger, you will get everything you need.

My overall experience was not so bad 😀.

Bakewell is one of the oldest and most familiar bakery of Jaipur. It was established in 1974 by Shri Ram Pratap Ahuja. They have a variety of biscuits, such as Kaju, Badam, Zeera, and Aata, where the original recipes have been kept intact. On the other hand, they also try to experiment with cakes and snacks, according to the current trend. You can approach them for customized theme cakes too. The bakery is managed well by Nitin and Vinita. Gajendraji is an enthusiastic, veteran employee ( since nearly three decades) who makes his famous Xmas cakes from 15th December to 10th January, every year. This bakery has been a favourite haunt of mine, since childhood. I remember eating the cream rolls and pineapple pastry with childish glee. I purchased a packet of pav ( type of bread) manufactured by Bakewell on 3rd February 2021. The product was stale (बासी), Flaky and unpalatable ( ख़ाने लायक़ नहीं थी) . After opening the packet at home and taking one bite, I learned the extremely bad quality of product. Packet doesn’t contain date of manufacture at all. Therefore customer can’t make out whether it is fresh or old stock or very old stock. I have known Bakewell ever since its inception, and it was making very good quality breads etc (in the past). But I was extremely and highly disappointed by this purchase. My point of writing is to warn other consumers only. I had to put the pav breads on my rooftop for consumption of birds.
