Churmawalas, located in Chitrakoot, Jaipur, is an absolute gem for anyone who loves traditional Rajasthani food, especially the iconic Dal Baati Churma. This place has rightfully earned its reputation as one of the best destinations to enjoy authentic and flavorful Rajasthani meals. Whether you're a local or a tourist, Churmawalas offers an unforgettable culinary experience that celebrates the true essence of Rajasthan.
The restaurant has a warm and inviting ambiance spread across two floors. While the ground floor is clean and functional, the real charm lies on the upper floor. The upper-level seating area is beautifully designed with a contemporary yet desi touch—colorful decor, traditional elements, and comfortable seating that gives you the feel of a modern village-style dining experience. It’s perfect for family gatherings, friends get-togethers, or even a peaceful solo meal.
The menu is rich with a variety of thalis and traditional dishes. Their Rajasthani Thali is a must-try—it comes with perfectly baked baatis, flavorful dal, mouthwatering churma, gatte ki sabzi, ker sangri, and more, all served with love and authentic taste. The portion size is generous, and every dish feels like it's made at home with extra care. You can also choose from other thali varieties that cater to different preferences, including Jain options, which is a plus.
The service is polite, quick, and staff members are very attentive. They make sure your plates are never empty and you're fully satisfied with your meal. The cleanliness and hygiene of the place are also impressive, which is very important when it comes to traditional food joints.
Churmawalas is not just a place to eat—it's an experience. The flavors are rich, the ambiance is vibrant, and the overall vibe is full of Rajasthani culture and warmth. People of all age groups come here to relish the food and spend quality time with their loved ones.

One of my relatives recommend this place and since the winter season was at its peak, we simply locked this place for family lunch. The best part is the varieties they offer both in batti and in churma. We tried their multiple offerings before finalizing and ordered:
Rose/Besan/Wheat Churma- All of it was nothing less than perfect Plain and Masala Batti- Again toooo yumm and simply beyond perfect Dal/aloo pyaaj curry/chilli curry/Haldi ka saag/garlic chatni- As amazing as you would expect it to be Gatte ka saag- Needs special mention, just mind boggling and slurpworthy
We got everything packed which was done nicely and when we unpacked all the stuff, nothing was leaking and every single thing was as it is. The staff is quite courteous and keep encouraging you to try their best offerings. It has to be tried in case your family is Rajasthani food lover. I don't think you would imagine this food to be evencwhat it is. All the best to the entire team....

So I visited Churma walaz Shyam Nagar Sodala branch thinking to have a good lunch. To my surprise, they don't even have AC AND FRIDGE. Imagine sitting in hot weather with direct sunlight under fan only.
Food quality is average. Dal, kadhi, gatta sabji were cold and that's obvious they don't have kitchen. They will just heat them little bit. Chach is like pure water.
They don't even have KITCHEN. They got food from other stores and then they just serve it. No proper setup, NO KITCHEN, NO FRIDGE, NO COOLER, NO AC. They literally have nothing. Even small shops have AC nowadays.
Please think twice if you are planning to visit otherwise you will end up ruining your lunch.
