Review of Dosa at Dosaka: An Encounter with Matka and Mysore Dosa
If you're a fan of South Indian cuisine, you're likely familiar with the iconic dosa, and if you find yourself at Dosaka, you're in for a treat. Nestled in a cozy corner, this restaurant has carved a niche for itself with its authentic dosas and warm hospitality. I had the pleasure of visiting Dosaka recently, and I am excited to share my experience with their signature dishes: Matka Dosa and Mysore Dosa.
Ambiance: Upon entering Dosaka, I was welcomed by a vibrant yet relaxed atmosphere. The decor is simple yet inviting, with cultural elements that reflect the richness of South Indian heritage. The staff, led by Ankit, were friendly and attentive, making sure to check on us throughout our meal without being intrusive.
Matka Dosa: The Matka Dosa is a must-try. Served in a traditional clay pot (matka), this dosa is thicker and fluffier than your average dosa. The exterior was perfectly crisp, while the inside maintained a delightful softness. The flavors were enhanced with a rich blend of spices, and the accompanying coconut chutney and sambar were the cherry on top. The unique presentation in the clay pot added an authentic touch, making the experience all the more enjoyable.
Mysore Dosa: The Mysore Dosa at Dosaka is another highlight. Known for its spicy red chutney spread on the inside, it offers a delightful kick that elevates the already delicious dosa. Each bite was a harmonious blend of flavors, with the crispy edges and tangy chutney creating a mouthwatering experience. The Mysore Dosa was paired beautifully with an assortment of chutneys and a piping hot bowl of sambar, making it a satisfying meal that left me craving more.
Service: Ankit and the rest of the staff were knowledgeable about the menu and enthusiastic about sharing recommendations. Their passion for South Indian cuisine was evident, and they made sure our dining experience was nothing short of excellent.
Overall Experience: My visit to Dosaka was a delightful culinary journey. The Matka Dosa and Mysore Dosa were standout dishes that not only satisfied my palate but also showcased the essence of South Indian cuisine. If you're in the mood for some authentic dosas in a warm and welcoming environment, I highly recommend stopping by Dosaka. With Ankit and his team at the helm, you're in for a...
Read moreWent to the vidhyadhar nagar outlet of dosaka for having good South Indian food. Although we were told to visit the other outlet of dosaka for better experience but we thought to try and have an experience ourselves and rather not believing to other people’s experiences.
Ordered dosai ghee roast which is a masala dosa made in ghee. It’s a better taste dosa than the dosa made with butter. It was served in a natural plant leaf plate which is a plate made with plant leafs and dried and moulded in a size of plate and bowls. They are used majorly before the other types of artificial material plates and bowls came in. But the plant leaf plates and bowl are not just disposable but they are also bio degradable.
Coming back to the food, food was good. They also refill the sambhar on request. It was tasteful.
Then we ordered a fusion dosa which was paneer tikka dosa. My friends have had this dish at other outlets of dosaka and as per them the qty of paneer tikka masala inside the dosa was less as compared to same dish served at other dosaka outlets. Taste was ok. Also had cold drinks with the food.
Regarding the furniture : They have two types of sitting Indoor sitting : inside they have solid wood tables and solid wood chairs with upholstered seats The wood is mixed medium quality sheesham.
Outdoor sitting : for outdoors they have used iron pillar tables with Banswara white marble and iron rope weaved chairs.
The sad part is that the staff was stacking these non stackable chairs due to which a string of the rope of one chair has broke Infront of me.
We also make the same models of indoor and outdoor furniture they are using , even we have such a wide variety in quality as per budget but we always make sure to tell our clients which chair is stackable and which is not. Felt very bad to see the mishandling of furniture as in our factories we spend hours everyday in making beautiful furniture. Anyway.. the food is good. You can come for satisfying your South Indian...
