Very nice restaurant. Got this as a local recommendation from a guide for authentic Rajasthani food, and it didn’t disappoint.
The interiors weren’t anything to shout out about and possibly that’s the first sign that locals prefer it, and it’s known for its food…
We took one veg thali and one non veg. And the food was good. One or two items were a bit oily but our server Ritesh was quick to rectify it and adjust the oil or spice level to our liking… we really appreciated the service more than anything , he was attentive, explained everything properly about what we were eating , and the plate had a great variety, we didn’t have space to eat it all…
In the veg thali, we had favourites like Bhati, khadi, Ghatte ki sabzi, and then papad tamatar sabzi… non veg had ghosht, and some others, and they came with mutton, but he replaced it with chicken for us.. one of the chickens were a bit dry and he replaced that for us as well…
We had a buttermilk also, which tasted nice with lots of cumin.
Overall highly...
Read moreVery bad service, got in the restaurant to have a beer as they allowed drinks from outside. Wanted to order some starters but then i saw the crazzzy prices, no starter was under 500rs (veg), the place and Ambience cannot justify such high prices. The atmosphere was not at all pleasant, the rajasthani singers were more like loud noise creators, as it was difficult to even talk to the person sitting next to you. Asked for beer mugs, were given papad with it, thought it would be complimentary, then ordered salad, because didnt want to order unreasonable expensive food and also didnt want to just sit in the space and not order, we were handed with a bill with charging papad, and when enquired the service person said we'll take the papad price off but charge double for the mugs because you argued with me. The only bad experience i had in jaipur. If they want people to sit and order a minimum amount to allow drinking a beer they should...
Read moreVegetable Biryani was ok, had a lot of ginger. Raita that came with it was good. The grilled vegetarian sandwich comes with a egg free mayo which was good but the chips were stale. Masala Kulcha was good, offered as an alternative to the aloo paratha that is breakfast only. It was nice of them to try to match it. Didn't understand why they couldn't make the normal paratha. Bottled water was complimentary.
Washroom had no soap but there is an outdoor sink that was stocked
Live music was not good. Way too loud for such a small space.
Staff was friendly and helped well with the questions we had.
Seating is terrible. The tables are at coffee table height so it was quite uncomfortable to hunch over to eat.
Lastly there was an elephant behind the door where food was coming out. There were also a lot of dead flies by the front window where we were seated. Not sure what else is around but I wouldn't...
