Went to the place on a Saturday evening. No rush or crowd as such but still you will fight to find parking space for cars. Two wheelers can be managed.
As soon as you enter the Cafe, it indeed fits 'rustic' in its name. You might as well feel a little hot because of the fan placement (at some spots in the Cafe you won't even get a whiff of fan) but since it was a rainy evening with lots of cold breeze, it didn't feel much. Second slightly negative thing that I felt was the furniture. I couldn't rest my hands on the table because the uneven 'rustic' wooden planks were a little painful. However, the vibes and the ambience was all pretty good and you won't even notice hours passing by with a good company of people.
Coming to the food section. Ordered Irani chai (with lots of expectations), classic cold Coffee and veg cheese grill sandwich. Everything was pretty decent but my biggest disappointment was Irani chai. My first disappointment was the quantity but later I was glad that I was served less quantity of that chai. Nothing Irani about it nor its way of preparation. Cold coffee and sandwich (which became cold by the time it was served) was decent.
The place has lots of options in the menu. Maybe I will think of giving one more chance to the Cafe given the good ambience and vibes that the Cafe seems to offer. Would have given 3.5 stars (no option to do that sadly) but certainly not 4 - at least after my...
Read moreThis place might fool you from the simplistic outlook, but don't underestimate the place with its minimal infrastructure and looks. The wooden chairs n stools, the water in copper pot, the Maggie food menu gives the place it's unique signature and ambience which is peaceful from the hustle bustle of bar and typical restuarants. The staff is cordial and helpful. The place has many books, lively music, tele and magazines. A lot of things as conversation starter, and all things add up and give this place the deserving popularity among youth. Don't forget to try out the parantha challenge, in which one has to eat 1.5kg, 18 inch long Parantha within 15min. Won't cost you much, but if you can finish it, your picture will be on their wall. Surprisingly it has many winners already posted on wall. It is a good place with economical options for students. Not much of parking infrastructure available, but nearby plot can be used to safely tie your horses or chariots. The signature rustic pizza and Oreo shake was really good and worth the price tag. The Zomato gold offer is applicable and also checkout various other offers on different apps. The food items are available on food ordering apps and most of their agents are always in waiting mode outside of the restaurant, which also confirms the quality food. Last order is around 10:30 pm, so keep that...
