One of the worst restaurant who has no ethics and zero service mentality. Had been to Vaishnodevi and we were a group of 11 members from Karnataka. The way they greeted and treated North Indians was very different it was very very obvious. When ordered for curd rice for a 6 year old kid (we specifically mentioned this is for a kid saying if possible get half of the food since we didn’t wanted the food to go waste) they brought stale and cold curd rice. Who on the earth serve stale and cold food to a small kid..? If it was in south they would have mentioned it to us saying Mam curd rice will be cold to be served to a kid - this is called as common sense and people with humanity and not business minded. They did this at the divine place of Vaishnodevi where all the kids are considered as Vaishnodevi herself.
The waiter is so arrogant that after confronting this he is smiling sarcastically.. how shameless people they are.
You all shameless chaps where ever you go you shall still be a waiter (no offence to waiters who are humble and grounded) and nothing more.
Photo added from different other persons review.. he is the waiter who served us stale food smiled sarcastically when confronted.. one more guy was there too but couldn’t get his photo anywhere..if he reads this review and if he has conscience it will definitely touch him. They both differentiated b/w north and South Indians...
Read moreThe place is situated in the main market area...3 mins walk from the Jewels...The food was great...I tried the veg manchow soup...the taste was good can try this one, Tangy cottage sizzler....the paneer was super soft almost melting in mouth ,chilly ginger fried rice was great ...The quantity is slightly less for group of 3 ...but they are priced less accordingly so each dish I tried can be shared by 2 people.....For desserts we had choco lava..can try or skip this one ...it was not bad but I have had better. They have wide variety of dessert options like cakes , donut, lassi, gulab jamun rabdi available. They did have a various options in Indian menu though couldn't try them will surely visit in future for them whenever I go to Vaishnodevi. The hygiene standards were great as the place was cleaned fast as soon as the guests left to.The decor was nice and they had a open glass window for the kitchen area which is great. One thing I wasn't a fan of was the service it was very slow...it could be cause of the rush ..but they do need to work on it.I had to call the server multiple times to ask if the order was ready and every time they said they would get it in 5 mins and it took 15 mins...so the sizzler took nearly 25-30 mins..a faster service could be more appreciated. Overall you can visit it if you are looking for good food options in Katra near main...
Read moreGreat restaurant. Good food. Timely delivery. Polite staff. A lot of variety on the menu makes is a good option to eat. On the main road so walking distance from many hotels. I am not sure if they provide home delivery to hotels or not but they should start it or advertise it if it is an option. We stayed 2 nights in Katra and ate here almost everyday. Especially, after darshaan, we were too tired to walk to ate unwilling at the hotel but wanted to eat food from Madhuban.
I bit overpriced but not many upscale options. I hope the competition increases in this price-segment in Katra.
Thanks for considering the following requests for improvement: Staff can be a bit more vigilant of customer needs, calls, and to proactively let us know about delays. Prices of sweet dishes seem exorbitant but taste was good. May be take a tip from street vendors who can provide same dishes (without same seating and service though) at one-tenth the price. The pooja in the evening is quite loud. No issues with your religious practices (we too were there for darshaan) but the decibel levels of pooja audio doesn't make a different...
