Pahalwan's Food Mall — Restaurant in Jammu and Kashmir

I recently ordered food from this place, and overall, it was a pretty underwhelming experience. I had ordered dal, roti, chowmein, and two salted lassis. To start with, the dal was very average — lacked flavor and felt like it was missing basic seasoning. It didn't have the richness or taste you would expect from a good dal. The roti was okay, nothing special — soft enough but not something that would make me want to reorder. The chowmein was also average, with very basic seasoning and lacked that authentic street-style taste.

What made the experience worse was that I had ordered two salted lassis but received only one, and to top it off, it was sweet instead of salted. That's a basic mistake, and I expected better service.

The next day, I decided to give the place another shot and went there to try their chola bhature, hoping it would be better. Unfortunately, that too was just average. The chole lacked depth and proper spices, and the bhatura was not as fluffy as it should be. I also ordered a salted lassi again, and this time too, it was just mediocre — neither properly salted nor refreshing.

The overall experience was disappointing. The food is below average to average at best, and service quality is questionable. I would think twice before ordering or visiting again.

Pahalwan's Food Mall is not as good as their heritage shop of Peer Meetha. Have given 3 ⭐ only for two facts.... Location Space & interiors It's really not bad to say that they are having huge mall like accommodation and space for handling customer's but unfortunately they don't have proper swipe machines (POS) working. Tried several POS for swiping Sodexo, HDFC, Axis, Yes, SBI, International cards but nothing worked. Fortunately, Citi touch worked somehow. Also, the behavior of snacks preparing staff was ridiculous and they don't have any respect for customer's whom in India is treated like GOD (Athiti Devo Bhava). So I will suggest if you are really desperate of having food and you feel you are unable to get from nearby, then only think of this. One more thing, I ordered a cake from them which they charged me ₹1300 for simple design of Capitan America which usually you can get for...

I'm so fortunate to have this place just a few minutes drive away from home. I don’t normally leave reviews but I feel compelled as the food was absolutely exquisite. I've visited so many times to this restaurant but 2day(16/01/24)for the first tym I went on its top floor where they hv opened new family restaurant. No doubt the ground floor is too noisy and there is self service but the top floor is totally vice-versa.From the starter to the dessert the quality and tastes of everything was outstanding.
