Southern Spice - Best Dosa, Best Pavbhaji, Best Restaurant, Best Food — Restaurant in Jammu and Kashmir

I recently visited southern spices in Udhampur with high expectations, hoping to indulge in some delicious Indian cuisine. However, my experience left much to be desired. Unfortunately, the restaurant fell short in several aspects, and I cannot wholeheartedly recommend it.

Firstly, let's discuss the naan. Naan is a staple Indian bread that is known for its softness, flavors, and ability to complement various curries. However, the naan at Naan and Shole was quite disappointing. It lacked the characteristic fluffiness and texture that make naan so enjoyable. Instead, the naan served here was dry and somewhat chewy. The flavors were bland, and it felt as if it had been reheated rather than being freshly prepared. The overall quality of the naan was below average, failing to meet even the basic expectations.

Moving on to the shole, a popular Indian dish consisting of spiced meat or lentils, my experience was similarly underwhelming. Biryani is good , u may try it , Rice quality of biryani wasn’t good as per the cost, for 150₹ we are getting half plate and rice are sticky. Please change the rice quality, flavour is excellent . Sambar is very good . Idli wasn’t up to the mark ( wasn’t soft ) it was more towards harder side. If u want paneer biryani visit before 6pm . Dosa is fair . I called Southern Spice to order seven masala dosas, and was told to pick them up after 30 minutes. However, upon arrival, I was informed by the uncle that my dosas had been given to other customers and I would have to wait an additional 20 minutes. Not only was this disappointing, but the way in which the uncle spoke to me was incredibly rude. He did not face me and seemed to avoid taking responsibility.
