Pather Panchali Restaurant holds a special place in the hearts of Bengali, thanks to its evocative name. The interior is impressive, featuring top-notch decor and captivating wall art, complemented by a spacious seating area with full air conditioning, making for a comfortable dining environment. However, the food quality leaves much to be desired. Tawa roti, Aloo paratha, Paneer butter masala, Kadai paneer, Kadai mushroom, Punjabi chicken, Rce, and Polao were disappointing, with the exception of the Tadka. The dishes were over-spiced and lacked distinct flavors, all tasting quite similar. On a positive note, the portions of rice and polao were generous, easily enough for two people. The staff were adequate but not particularly noteworthy. My experience at Pather Panchali Restaurant was quite disappointing. The place looks decent from outside, but the service and food quality were far below expectations. The staff seemed uninterested and took a long time to serve even basic items. Hygiene was also a big concern — the tables were not cleaned properly, and the washroom was in poor condition.

Coming to the food, it was bland, oily, and overpriced for the quantity served. The items on the menu were not even fully available, and what we ordered didn’t taste fresh. The waiting time was unusually long, and by the time the food arrived, it was almost cold.
