I ordered Idli, vada and masala dosa here. The taste was good , not extraordinary but good. The sambar could've been better though. The owner is a very kind and warm person, he goes to every table and personally ask them for reviews. The owner's son is the chef here. Ambience is ok. But I think it will get better with time. Menu is very short and simple, only serves southern dishes unlike Kuppuswami which is just beside the restaurant and it is totally fine since they're a new place and this is what they're supposed to do. Because Kuppuswami is just beside them then it is natural that people will compare them and comparatively Suvai must improve their sambar to compete with Kuppuswami. Also kuppuswami serves northern dishes and some of the dishes are yummy but not all of them. I have to taste many other dishes from Suvai before giving a proper review, so this is what I've noticed till now. Will be...
Read moreWe visited this restaurant in our search for the best south Indian dishes available in Ranchi with authentic south Indian taste and flavour. Perhaps, this one is the best of all in Ranchi as it offers a variety of cuisines based on south Indian ingredients. We ordered the Set Dossae with aloo masala served separately, Pongal, Idli with freshly made gun powder smeared on it to experience the savoury flavours. The prices are quite reasonable and we would prefer to visit this place again. Sambhar was good , but it could have been better. The Bengali guy managing the orders when we visited there was quite polite and hospitable.
The line - ' one can't think well, love well and sleep well if one hasn't dined well ' by Virginia Woolf displayed on the wall would suffice it to say that the owners are dedicated to...
Read moreI ordered a 'Mysoor Masla Dosa with Paneer' and the taste was below average and the quantity of 'Paneer' was also not good. The 'Sambhar' had no vegetables and was just tasting like water mixed with little spices and it was the worst 'Sambhar' I have ever had. If I talk about the 'Chutneys' then both 'Chutneys' were decent. And the worst part was the behaviour of the waiter who was wearing a 'Red T-Shirt' who didn't knew how to talk to customers. And at the end my bill came a total of ₹195 which was the total of the dosa and the water bottle. And at the end when I gave them a ₹500 note the same waiter just returned me ₹300 and said that they don't have ₹5 right now. Overall my experience was very bad and I won't be going back to this place again and I would also discourage everyone to...
