I recently visited The Local Eatery Cafe in Ranchi and had a mixed experience. While the ambiance was fantastic, a few aspects of the food fell short.
A Winning Atmosphere:
Walking into The Local Eatery Cafe is like stepping into a friend's inviting living room. The decor is warm and trendy, with comfortable seating and stylish lighting. It's a great place to catch up with friends, have a casual business meeting, or simply enjoy a quiet solo meal. The staff was friendly and attentive, adding to the overall pleasant experience.
Exploring the Menu:
I opted for some classic cafe fare: Alberto pasta, Margarita pizza, and cheese cigars. The menu offered a good variety of Italian and Indian dishes, along with beverages like coffee, tea, and mocktails.
A Bite-Sized Breakdown:
Alberto Pasta: This dish was the highlight of my meal. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente, and the sauce was rich and flavorful. I couldn't quite pinpoint the specific ingredients, but it had a creamy base with hints of herbs and spices. Margarita Pizza: The pizza was a bit of a letdown. It was a standard size, which is perfectly fine for one person, but the crust was a tad average. It lacked that satisfying crisp on the outside and chewiness on the inside that makes a pizza truly memorable. The toppings were fresh, with a good balance of tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese. However, for a classic dish like Margarita, I was expecting a bit more pizzazz. Cheese Cigars: These were another disappointment. The portion size was quite small, and the cheese filling wasn't as decadent and gooey as I'd hoped. The pastry shell itself was decent, but overall, the dish fell flat.
Room for Improvement:
While the ambiance and service were top-notch, the food could benefit from some adjustments. The pizza and cheese cigars could be made more flavorful and the portion sizes could be increased, especially for the price point.
Final Verdict:
Despite the minor shortcomings with the food, I enjoyed my time at The Local Eatery Cafe. The ambiance is a definite winner, and the Alberto pasta was delicious. With a few tweaks to the menu, this cafe could become a truly exceptional spot in Ranchi. I would recommend it for those seeking a good vibe and a decent meal, but if you're a die-hard pizza or cheese cigar aficionado, you might want to manage your...
Read moreThis newly opened Restro has an amazing ambience and is serving some really yummy food. We tried the mix sauce pasta and pan fried noodles here.
Mix Sauce Pasta - ₹219 It was amazing. Had such a good pasta after a very long time. The flavours were perfectly balanced. They used a lot of exotic veggies too. The quantity was a bit on the lower side, but the taste and the ambience makes upto it.
Pan fried Noodles ( Chicken ) - ₹230 It was amazing. The gravy over the fried noodles was yummy. It also had lot of exotic veggies which was giving it a distinct flavour. The quantity was good too.

Along with that, you can dine and chill in the lawn area, where smoking is also allowed. There is a banquet hall in the restaurant, and the lawn area can be booked to organize events.
The owner, Samiksa Bilung, is a very kind and helpful person, as are...
