Every time I visit Ranchi ended up being at the famous "K". For a change Google map threw up this off beat place. Wohoo.... landed up here with parents and not that far away from my residence the ambience floored me totally. Lived up to the name. Ample parking place, dint come across valet, catering to crowd of all age group, ground floor is more so meant for liquor and beer lovers accompanied by smoke. You got a nice sitting space on 1st floor which is more so for family but no elevator. They have standard off shelf drinks and yes they do serve Bira. Sometime i got a feel the restaurant is under staffed or may be they are taking better care of their regular guest or tables where liquor is served obvious reason they are going to generate more tkt money. Talking about food... crispy chili baby corn & mushroom: was really crispy came along with bell peppers not mushrooms, on the recommendation of steward ordered crispy chili basil fish: ideally was to be batter fried basa, the batter coating was way too thick and it was a thin slice of fish inside, it gave me a feel as if i am having batter fried in oil rather fish that is coated (my chef instinct kicked in here), could have been a much better value for money, for the main course it was reshmi kadai murg and tandoori roti: absolute delight with not that typical tomato gravy but yellow gravy and boneless pieces of chicken and tandoori roti was fresh out of tandoor played a perfect accompaniment. I took some pics/ video that i am posting kindly put some pressure on your eyes as there was way too less light again living by the name of place. Team: you got a unique proposition in place, good place, good food... take care of all your guests todays small ticket size customer may be your regular customer tomorrow. Please take care of your food plates as well the paint or coating is coming off on the rim and center and it may be a bit unhealthy/ dangerous to have food in them. Look fwd to see...
Read moreAttended the sufi night in this restaurant. Oh what a place this was. Beautiful setting surrounded by greens, in the evening this place is even prettier. Music added to the charm, in fact music was the only charm that night. Only go for the ambience in the evening, and carry your own water. You won't be served water, you'll have to buy the bottled one. The food was one of worst food I have had in India. Only good item was the French fries, not even the sauce served along with that was good. Other food items were stale, uncooked and had horrible odor. The servers were so chill, in their own world. They will bring whatever they want, not what you ordered. It was hilarious. And this place is quite expensive by Ranchi standards. So you'd expect the money worth from such place. But alas! The management of this place needs so much attention, in terms of hiring better and good chef, training servers, seating chairs, etc. I might visit this place if they have another live music session that interests me. And will carry own water and chips. Definitely not worth visiting otherwise for food for the amount they charge. It seems absolutely unethical to have such expensive places with such poor and sub-standard service and quality. I have seen so many poor reviews of this place, I wonder why management is not taking into...
Read moreIf you posses certain policies, do let the guests know about them clearly! We happen to book tables for 5, after attending a family function. We booked for the 6pm evening yet, when we reached the location, we were told to wait until 7-7:30 on a Friday evening. Later we were asked if we had couple guests or stags. We were attended with highly disrespectful behavior and sent back from the enterance itself. We just expected to sit for the live music after a busy day at the family function but were not allowed inside. Yes, we had a couple of drinks but were looking forward for some leisure moment and the vibe inside. I came to know from my friends who were welcomed even after they had consumed some/more amount of alcohol, yet we felt disrespectful as, even after a booking and a descent stag entry, I can't explain what the reason was, but we were not welcomed. Yes, it was my first and last visit here, unfortunately, only till the outside of it. No idea, why we had to face this biasness and a spoilt mood on a Friday weekend.
From "Aplog aaiye na Sir, bas time aur number of guests WhatsApp krr dijiye" TO "Ni Aplog allowed ni hain", it escalated to a next level! As if you are serving something different inside, right ?
Wishing you all the sucess in...
