#ABYSMAL FOOD ALERT!!
I visited this restaurant on a Google tip that it's nearby and good. #Badcall
Firstly, once you arrive at a restaurant, you as a customer expect some amount of service benefits, else you might as well be at home. Out there at Rasraj, there was no such thing. The waiter literally threw the menu book on my table.
Secondly, about the choice of menu. I selected their Mexican hot pot from menu. Once I proceeded with my order, the waiter casually replied that there was no continental today. This happened after wasting 15 mins of my time. # The onus of educating the customer about the selection available in the restaurant lies with the restaurant and not vice versa.
I asked for the next option of a sizzler to which I was told that they only had one variety from 3 in the menu. Pitifully I went ahead with it. I asked the waiter how long it would take for the order and he said 20 mins. That was ok untill the order arrived after 40 mins ; taking double the time. No waiter or staff even came to inform me that there was going to be this much delay.
Thirdly, about the food proper. I had ordered a Schezwan chicken sizzler and a side of French fries. The sizzler was filled with oil as is evident in the photo and it was salty beyond human consumption limits. Even the fries were dapped in salt. I usually take extra salt over my food, but this...this was way too much!!! The waiter had mentioned the sizzler to be served with veggies, chicken, noodles and fried rice....mine came without any rice. Another feather in their hat!!
Since the staff was useless, I didn't have the option to ask them for a return or refund and had to eat the pathetic food they had provided. I tried my best...but literally had to stop midway. Probably the first time, I left food on my plate.
Finally, my honest opinion of this place is that the owner must take cognizance of his dear restaurant and educate his staff a thing or two about hospitality, so that they understand the sector they are working in. And if possible get some food inspectors to take a tour of the kitchen to get their food certified for...
Read moreAn incredibly overpriced restaurant for no reason whatsoever. One plate of chicken hakka noodles for INR 336! In a mofussil like Jodhpur!
When I entered the place, the stewards were clustered around the owner's desk, chatting away. Nobody came to usher me to my table. Nothing. I looked around, found a vacant place and say down.
The stewards apparently have got habituated to gossiping with the owner at his desk and the customer could go screw himself. One has to raise one's hand and almost shout in that direction to get heard. I had to do this thrice - once for water, second for some soya sauce ( they didn't think it correct to have at least the basic sauces on the table from the time they knew I had ordered a Chinese dish) and third to ask for the leftovers to be packed.
One sauce bowl didn't have a spoon. No steward came to serve me as is usually done at places with such prices.
The dish itself was prep well and had generous amounts of chicken. But then it had too much salt.
I gave a proper dressing down to the owner and told him that I will be giving a bad review on Google but he didn't seem to care one bit.
This is a confused restaurant. It has the prices of a fine dining restaurant but not the service. And it is not a dhaba because it lacks that typical taste.
Avoid this place altogether unless you have no other place and/or want to waste good money over...
Read moreWe went in twice to this place. The 1st time for breakfast we ordered Masala dosa and Uttapam it was good. So we thought let's go in for dinner. We ordered a hot and sour soup and that's where the story starts. The soup was horrible. Just plain water and 2 spoon ful Soyasauce and few roaming sad veggies. It tasted nothing like hot and sour soup. So we asked the waiter to change Or tweak it some how so that we can eat it. But the waiter said no nothing is wrong with soup it's perfect. It's how we make it. He was absolutely rude and arrogant. We were always talking to him politely and he was aggressive with us. So we overall paid 300 rs for the watery tasteless soup which we had 2 spoons. I was seriously appalled by the behavior of the staff. I thought guests are treated in a good way but that's not the case with rasraj ppl. I know we are not your regular customers but you should still treat us better. We know how a hot and sour soup tastes. Anyway the whole experience was terrible and I wouldn't want anyone to feel the same...
