A Magical Night to Remember: The Hoot Exceeds Expectations!
Rating: 5/5 Stars
We had the pleasure of dining at The Hoot on Valentine's Day with a group of 5, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! The culinary expertise, exceptional service, and enchanting ambiance made for a perfect evening.
As we stepped into the restaurant, we were struck by the breathtaking moonlit city views and the stunning backdrop of the majestic Umaid Bhavan. The setting was nothing short of magical!
The appetizers were a symphony of flavors, with the Tandoor Platter being a standout. Each item, from the Hara Bhara Kabab to the juicy Paneer Tikka and Malai Broccoli Tikka, was cooked to perfection. The Tacos were also a delightful surprise!
Their signature cocktails are inventive and delicious. The "Devil's Head" was my personal favorite, striking the ideal balance between sweet and spicy!
For the main course, we indulged in Dal Makhani, Paneer, Soya Chaap, Nargis Naan, and Kulcha. Each dish was expertly prepared, with flavors that harmonized beautifully.
To cap off the evening, we savored the special gluten-free chocolate cake, a Valentine's Day treat that was both decadent and delightful.
The music and ambiance were equally impressive, adding to the overall enchantment of the evening. The Hoot's attention to detail and commitment to excellence are truly commendable.
What truly sets The Hoot apart, however, is its exceptional service. The staff were attentive, friendly, and always wore a warm smile.
In a city filled with incredible dining options, The Hoot stands out as a true gem. If you're a food lover, do yourself a favor and book a table. The food, music, and ambiance...
Read moreThis place is quite special in the hearts of all those who visit Jodhpur primarily so since it is located in the heart of the city near the famous Clock Tower and has an amazing backdrop and view of the Mehrangarh Fort.
Busy with my hectic schedule, I could finally manage some time off and visited here on a lazy Sunday afternoon for a serene brunch.
The decor is aesthetic and appropriate to a heritage restaurant and the staff very welcoming and we were lucky to find some shaded seats on the roof top affording us an amazing view of the old city.
We ordered the Crispy Chicken fingers and the Chicken Lasagna with a Virgin Mojito and a beer.
The Crispy Chicken fingers were a big letdown since I felt the chicken pieces were too big and the chicken slightly undercooked and the crumb missing out on the garnishing. Its a dish which is served in many cafes and it needs some work by the chef.
The Lasagna was perfect with the pasta well cooked and the stuffing filled with all the right and freshly cooked vegetables.
There was a very limited option when it came to drinks and hence we ordered what we knew. They need to expand their beer options since only Kingfisher Lager beer was available. We wanted to try the Code Red mocktail but the server was unable to explain the contents and hence we skipped it.
Was lucky enough to click some good pics of the venue and I suggest to visit this place in the early morning or evening hours.
Overall, a place worth visiting.
It would be prudent for the management to look into the hygiene surrounding the place since with the wind blowing in from the north, the cow shed located next door wasn't...
