A Disappointing Decline After Years of Loyalty!

I’ve been a loyal customer of this restaurant for over five years, ordering at least once a week. In the past, I’ve always had positive experiences, leaving multiple five-star reviews. The previous staff member, a gentleman with a turban, was always courteous and welcoming, and I appreciated the seamless service while paying via Zomato Gold, which I’ve used for what feels like forever.

However, my recent experiences have been far from pleasant. The new person at the counter has a completely different attitude—uninterested and quite frankly, rude. He dismisses customer complaints and feedback, preferring to scroll through social media rather than engage with diners. To make matters worse, the food no longer tastes as good as it once did. The most frustrating part of my last visit was when he outright refused to accept Zomato Gold, demanding that I pay the difference plus an additional 15% commission. After a frustrating back-and-forth, I ended up paying just to avoid an unnecessary argument, but his excuses were far from reasonable.

Having worked in the HORECA industry for over eight years, I can say with confidence that this kind of behavior marks the beginning of a business's downfall. It's unfortunate to see a place I once loved deteriorate like this.

Pros:

Cons:

• Counter staff was so engrossed in counting cash that he didn't notice me standing in front of him for 3-4 seconds. • When I asked the TAT I was informed 22 minutes in a differently calculated way, when I arrived to collect my order after exact 22 minutes I had to wait for 7 more minutes to receive the order. • There was some internal chaos when I placed my order, displeasure was being expressed by a distressed human about something, reason unknown.

Visited Great Punjab NX in Kalyan yesterday and was truly impressed by the food. The flavors were rich and authentic — a real treat for anyone who enjoys traditional Punjabi cuisine. The bread was served fresh and hot, complementing the dishes perfectly.

The service was excellent — staff were polite, prompt, and attentive, making the overall dining experience very smooth. While the atmosphere could use a bit of improvement to match the quality of the food, it’s a small trade-off for the flavors they deliver.

They also offer a variety of non-veg options, which, according to the manager, are quite popular — ideal for those who enjoy meat-based dishes (though I personally didn’t try them since I only prefer having vegetarian options only).
