From a value for money perspective, one could ask what do you expect from a hotel where the room which costs you under 2k bucks.|| || Well, for one, we would expect cleanliness and a neat room. Unfortunately, rooms are not well maintained. We could see a layer of dust on the light fittings and furniture. The intercoms were not working. It was difficult to use the TV, as they had their own service provider and there was no TV channels menu placed in the room, so that we could select. The mosquito meshes in the bathrooms were off, so the bathroom and eventually the room had mosquitoes. Thankfully the bathroom was clean.|| || The restaurant in the hotel serves good food, but again cleanliness was an issue. On the glass tumblers that were provided with water, we could see lipstick marks along the edges. So, you can judge how well the cutlery and kitchenware is being washed. Kamat is no more the powerful brand that it once was. In all their outlets, restaurants or hotels, it s is usual to see poor presentation and lack of attention to cleanliness. What can you say when a hotel converts its reception area into a makeshift sweet & savories stall, with packing boxes visible more than the reception lounge. The Kamat management seems to be content with lowering benchmarks rather than improving benchmarks, and hiring amateurs to run their business rather than well trained employees. Well they sure need a few professionals to manage their staff.|| || So, in all, the hotel is only for a night's sleep, bath in the morning and nothing else, and don't expect too much for that as well. Guess there are better options nearby for same price if...
Read moreThis hotel is between Dharwad and Hubli on the old highway. It is not on the pune bangalore national highway. I stayed at this hotel with family in May 2017. It was a night halt on my road trip from Mumbai to Munnar. I had booked the hotel room online in advance and the check in process was very fast and hassle free. Staff is courteous. They helped us with our bags to the room. The lobbies and public areas are clean and well maintained. I was not expecting much but i was pleasantly surprised as the hotel was better than my expectations. Room is a bit on the smaller side but it was clean. Bathroom was fairly spacious and clean. Basic towel and soap was provided. Complimentary water bottle was also provided. Room service was fast (we had asked for an extra mattress and towel for the 3rd person). All light and power outlets were working. The restaurant was clean. Food was good. Although i think one should avoid ordering chinese food in this hotel. Paneer was quite hard. It seemed to be frozen paneer. But it was edible. Complimentary breakfast spread was very good south Indian menu. They have ample parking space and it is secured as they have a big campus and security guard on duty. It was a good...
Read moreHighly recommend this excellent functional , value for money stay option. We stayed for a night (NON AC room as AC rooms are under renovation in May 2025), enroute from Pune to Bangalore. Complementary veg breakfast is included in room tariff. Rooms are large enough , and functional. Mini fridge is available in the room however tea kettle is not available. Early morning room service tea is available from 645am though. Mr Maruti and staff is courteous, responsive.
Mr.Maruti , ensured 2 adjacent and 1st floor rooms (for super senior citizens travelling with us) . He also helped me by going out of his way, for our left behind item , by arranging it to be shipped to Bangalore in a very secure manner. His honesty, sincerity and customer focus is highly appreciated.
Note : Meals - North/south Indian meals available at the restaurant (we didn't get chance to taste but breakfast was delicious, fresh). Jowar roti lunch is NOT...
