Adbhutavada oota!!!
Absolutely wonderful place for an authentic south indian meal. Just what any south indian will want on his plate(plantain leaf rather)
We ordered both nithyada oota and vishesha oota. Both are quite similar in terms of the assortments served except for the rice. Nithyada oota will get you limited rice while vishesha oota is unlimited rice and a welcome drink which was panaka in our case. Baking soda is a constant in any hotel but you will not feel its presence here because it was quite less.
The service is beyond commendable. There is no hurrying in the service at all. You are allowed to eat at your own pace and choose second third or whatever serving.
The place is speck and tidy. Not only is the seating area well maintained but even the kitchen is squeaky clean for a hotel. It is also an absolute value for money experience because the nithyada oota variants cost below 100 rupees and vishesha oota variants are about 150 rupees. YOU ALSO HAVE A HABBADA OOTA VARIANT WITH HOLIGE AND OTHER THINGS AT 200 RUPEES!!!!
On inquiry we got to know that the breakfast menu is on from 7.30 in the morning till around 11.30 or so and the lunch menu begins at around 12. The hotel closes by 4 in the evening.
This place is definitely worth one visit and if you are someone who likes a plantain leaf south indian meal there is no way you will not...

The restaurant has a good ambiance and a clean environment, creating a pleasant dining atmosphere. The food quality is commendable, with authentic flavors.
However, the service experience was somewhat confusing. Despite advertising an "unlimited" Habbada Oota, there seemed to be hesitation in serving even basic items like buttermilk, vada, or the welcome drink. The portions were unusually small, with servers offering just a spoonful of each dish. Surprisingly, sweets were served before sambar, which felt out of sequence.
Additionally, curd rice was not readily available, and we had to insist on getting even a basic mix of curd and rice. Holige was limited to just one serving, and most other items were cautiously rationed. Given this, opting for a limited meal might be a more practical choice to ensure a satisfactory experience.
It would be helpful if the restaurant provided a menu with meal options, allowing diners to choose and pay for a full meal if desired.
While the staff was hospitable, the service approach seemed to be dictated by broader management policies. Lastly, as reaching the location itself can be a bit stressful, it's best to set expectations accordingly before visiting.
The toilets need immediate attention and cleanup also men-s toilet need a...
Read moreUpdated review: I was in Mysore after 6 years and decided to check this place out again as I had really enjoyed last time.
I am thrilled to review here that the food has maintained the excellent quality over the years. This time I stopped there for breakfast after I googled breakfast options near me following a nice morning walk. This popped up and hence the morning trip to here. Nothing like a nice hot hot uppitu with coffee on a chilly January morning. I decided to pig out a bit more as I was hungry. Thoroughly enjoyed the hot well puffed pooris with sagu- very unique potato sagu which is non-tomatoey but very well seasoned and thick curry. Fingerlicking good! Their akki rotti and chutneys are simply too good too. A must try for someone who wants to enjoy home style kannadiga fare!
6 years ago. Was visiting family in Mysore when I discovered this gem of a place for authentic mysorean food! They use freshly ground spices, with recipes close to home, definitely will take you back to mom’s cooking. The food prep is personally supervised by the owners who run the place and they will come and check with you for feedback. I will go back...
