Canara Beach Restaurant isn't just a place to eat, it's an experience. Nestled along the pristine Delta Beach, it offers a sensory feast that goes beyond the delicious food. Imagine this: the gentle lull of the waves crashing against the shore, a cool breeze rustling through the palm trees, and the sun dappling through a lush pergola as you sip a refreshing chai. This is Canara Beach's magic.
The ambience steals the show. Under the shade of the pergola, you're transported to a private oasis, the beach lapping just steps away. It's like having your own slice of paradise, perfect for a romantic retreat, a leisurely family lunch, or even a fun gathering with friends. The friendly, attentive staff only add to the charm, ensuring your every need is met with a smile.
But let's not forget the star of the show: the food. The menu is a delightful blend of coastal flavors and traditional dishes, each bursting with freshness and authenticity. I recommend diving into the succulent chicken kebabs, infused with aromatic spices and grilled to perfection. The prawn ghee roast, a local specialty, is another must-try, the prawns swimming in a rich, buttery sauce that will have you licking your fingers. And for the vegetarians, the veg fried rice is a colorful and flavorful explosion, packed with crunchy vegetables and perfectly seasoned.
The portions are generous, ensuring everyone leaves satisfied. And the prices? Surprisingly reasonable, especially considering the quality and beachfront location. Even the beverages, from refreshing juices to bubbling sodas, are a delight.
The only minor note is the lack of alcohol on the menu. While a chilled beer on the beach would be the perfect finishing touch, the restaurant doesn't have a license. But fret not, resourceful beachgoers! You can simply bring your own bottle and enjoy it a few steps away from the property, closer to the waves.
Overall, Canara Beach Restaurant is an absolute gem. It's more than just a meal; it's an escape, a chance to soak up the sun, savor delicious food, and create memories that will last a lifetime. I, for one, can't wait to return and build my own sandcastle of culinary delights at this...

Read moreOK. Since everybody is mentioning the beautiful view, I won’t do that. Also because I’m reviewing the restaurant (the staff, the food, the quality of the food, the variety).. and the location of course.
Let’s set this straight. The view is beautiful. Period. Have a cup of water and chill in this place if you’d like to. Sneak in some small drinks, or lemon 🍋 and squeeze it there with the water and it’s great!
Now coming to the review of the restaurant. My rating says it all. A very very low maintenance place. The staff didn’t have their masks on, while cooking, while taking the order or while collecting the money.
The food was not nice. I’ve had wayyy better food for half the price I had there. Still not complaining too much.
The quality was bad, especially of the fried rice… the prawns in the rice gave me a sick stomach for 2 days. NO JOKE. What was worse? There are plenty of animals around, which makes you question the cleanliness of the place (the crows around had my food, while I left to get water.. which made me sick to look at the food and wasted all the food because of that experience)
There is quite a variety of food.. and yeh that’s it.
It’s a once a year kinda experience, so you can go and chill if y’all want. Just beware of stepping away from your food (if you’re seated sea side) and the price it comes...
