Davangere Benne Dosa Center — Restaurant in Karnataka

Been here for a quick breakfast and did not regret a bit. The sambar and chutney taste really good. The good thing about sambar is that it doesn't have much dal, which makes it tangy and spicy at the same time. The idli, vada and dosa are really good too. Coming to the benne dosa, the speciality of the restaurant, it is probably one of the best dosas I have tried. The dosa is very soft and tasty, feels like it melts in the mouth. I thoroughly enjoyed the food. The only reason for which i wouldn't give it a five star is that the restaurant asks to pay for the food in advance rather than paying after eating. Kitchen was not so clean. Pure south indian test. My order was puddhu ghee roast and butter masala dosa. In case of puddhu those were not properly roasted but the test was good. In case of masala dosa test was good but what I won't like is its masala, it was just boiled potatos. Test of chutney was good. Note that they won't give sambhar. Very small space over that they have kept 2 to 3 chairs over which people sits and eats which creates more obstacles for other who were eating by standing. Benne (butter) dosa is a famous dish of Dawanagere city situated in the middle of Karnataka state.The taste of benne dosa is enjoyed by every one.But every now and then it is not available to the people of this region.The same dosa with the same traditional taste and flavour is reproduced by this Benne dosa restaurant.Nice place with good ambience for the families to have their favoruite dish.However Wadas, Idlies etc are also available..R O purified water plant...
