A Culinary Oasis Afloat: A Review of the Infosys Floating Restaurant, Mysuru
Nestled amidst the sprawling, verdant campus of Infosys in Mysuru, the Floating Restaurant isn't just a place to eat; it's an experience. From the moment you step onto its unique, water-surrounded platform, you're transported to a serene and visually captivating dining haven.
The most striking feature, without a doubt, is the ambience. Lush greenery envelops the restaurant, and the tranquil waters around it are home to an abundance of large, mesmerizing fish that delight diners of all ages – especially kids. Whether you're seeking a calm escape from a busy day or a charming backdrop for a family meal, the serene and picturesque setting truly sets this restaurant apart. It's calming, beautiful, and offers numerous photo opportunities.
The food at the Floating Restaurant consistently receives high praise. Specializing in Indian cuisine, particularly buffet offerings, the menu caters to diverse palates. Diners rave about the quality and taste, with many highlighting the excellent fish dishes and the variety of fresh salads. From hearty breakfast options to elaborate lunch and dinner buffets, there's a satisfying array of dishes to choose from, often including live counters for items like fresh papad and hot sweets. While the prices are reasonable for the buffet system (around ₹250 for breakfast and ₹450 for lunch/dinner), the value for money, given the unlimited food options and exquisite setting, is exceptional.
Beyond the culinary delights, the service is consistently noted as being very good. The staff are attentive and ensure a comfortable dining experience. Even during peak hours, which can get crowded for lunch, the system seems to manage well, although booking in advance is highly recommended to secure your spot.
However, it's important to note for external visitors that the Infosys Floating Restaurant is primarily for Infosys employees and their guests. Access to the Infosys campus generally requires prior intimation and adherence to security protocols, including carrying a photo ID. While spouses may be permitted with prior notice, children are generally not allowed inside the campus for security reasons.

Breakfast costs around 180-200/- and lunch 305/- which includes a bottle of water as well. For lunch, Starters are usually a soup with one salad item and a pasta item. There will be live counters serving live pappad, battura, live sweets etc... The desserts usually are cut fruits with a pastery, and tart/ kheer/ gulab jamun etc. Overall good experience. Always ask the chef for Day special menu. Also you might need to book seats in advance as this place is usually crowded for lunch. Highly recommended for the Ambience...

They charge 250 for breakfast buffet and 450 for lunch and dinner buffet. You can definitely give it a try when you are...
