Food is good, service is bad. We stopped here for our morning breakfast and had idli, dosa, vada, tea & coffee. The taste of the batter was really good and something different. (It was quite oily though, making us feel heavy later on.) We would have loved to come back to this place for the food, but given the service we will not return. First and foremost, they do not allow pets inside the restaurant so we had to stand outside and eat in an open area annexed to the main restaurant. Not just pet parents, many folks prefer to stand in this area and eat. Interestingly, this open area houses the entire restaurant's kitchen. The kitchen unabashedly prefers the main restaurant versus this open area. So we could see orders being prepared and continuously moved to the restaurant inside. This seemed extremely unfair because we were standing in the heat, in between a big crowd, and nobody had any decency to ensure that this section of the customers is also getting the food. Furthermore the staff only understands Kannada including a lady managing the counter. It seemed the place was so popular that they had no concern about any of the complaints. While we were chatting with other customers, we realised that they were constantly mixing up orders, forgetting items, making us stand longer, without any iota of an apology. Overall, if you are a foodie who is ready to let go of his/her experience for good food, then only visit this place. Definitely, sit inside the restaurant and avoid the stand & eat area.

Located just 2 km from Food Culture, Kicchana Halli Mane is a beautiful spot that features an authentic village-style setup dedicated to the beloved Kannada actor Kichha Sudeep. The ambiance is charming, with walls adorned with his posters, frames, and banners, adding to the overall experience. We had to wait about 10-15 minutes as they were cleaning, but the wait was definitely worth it. We were so hungry that we forgot to take pictures of the food! Here’s what we enjoyed: 1. **Chow Chow Bath** - *10/10* This dish was a highlight! Perfectly spiced and comforting, it was an absolute delight. 2. **Masala Dosa** - *10/10* Crispy and flavorful, this masala dosa was fantastic and definitely worth ordering. 3. **Vada** - *8/10* Light and crispy, it paired well with the rest of our meal. 4. **Idli** - *4/10* I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re not a fan of idli, but if you enjoy idli, you might find this version appealing. 5. Halbai - *Highly Recommended* This dessert made from rice was simply delightful and a must-try! Overall, Kicchana Halli Mane offers a lovely dining experience with delicious food and a unique ambiance that celebrates Kannada cinema. It's a great place to enjoy a meal, especially if you appreciate local culture and cuisine! Just be prepared to arrive hungry—you might forget to snap those food pics!

This place was suggested by my colleagues and had two different feedback. One said it's amazing and the other said it's just like any other hotel and nothing great about it. Well, on the way we visited Kicchana Halli Mane. The hotel has a good parking space and is right next to the highway. Also, even if you are coming from Hassan, there is a U Turn just within 50 Meters of Halli Mane. Kicchana Halli Mane has ample space and good ambience. It has big portraits of Kiccha Sudeep, solo as well as with his wife. It has typical village style set up with wooden pillars courtyard sort of set up. Halli Mane offers regular food like South Indian as well as North Indian cuisine. We had idli and Dosa, quite decent but disappointed with Chutney which was brought right from the refrigerator, prepared a day before. The sambar and sagu had different taste which was refreshing compared to most hotels. Chats were average like any other Bangalore restaurant. We missed to taste of sprout idli that was mostly available for morning breakfast. Coffee was definitely better as we struggled to get good coffee beyond Hassan. Staff was courteous and service was quick. Verdict: Slightly different taste and can be refreshing to visit before a hitting accelerator on a beautiful highway... Safe Drives Folks ..

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 Stars for Culinary MAGIC at Kicchana Halli Mane! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Forget just a meal – my visit to Kicchana Halli Mane was a pure, unadulterated joy explosion for my taste buds! From the moment I stepped in, the warm, inviting atmosphere and the heavenly aromas promised something special, and oh boy, did they deliver! Let's talk about the Akki Roti. Calling it just "good" is a cosmic understatement! This wasn't just roti; it was a masterpiece of texture and tradition. Cooked to absolute PERFECTION – gloriously crisp and beautifully charred on the outside, yet wonderfully soft and yielding within. The flavor was incredibly fresh, tasting like the finest rice flour lovingly transformed. Served piping hot with that divinely spicy, aromatic chutney and creamy, comforting saaru... it was pure, simple, authentic Karnataka bliss on a plate. Each bite was a crunchy, savory revelation! 🤤 And then came the Veg Biryani... HOLD THE PHONE! As a biryani lover, I can confidently say this was one of the FINEST vegetarian biryanis I have EVER encountered. The fragrance alone was intoxicating – a symphony of whole spices that filled the air long before the plate arrived. The rice? Exquisitely separate, fluffy, and infused with layers of flavor that danced on the tongue. The vegetables weren't just an afterthought; they were stars in their own right – cooked to retain a beautiful bite, vibrant, and plentiful! The subtle heat, the aromatic basmati, the richness of the masala... it was complex, harmonious, and utterly addictive. Every single spoonful was a celebration! ✨ Beyond these two showstoppers: Service: Warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. They made us feel like valued guests. Ambiance: Charming, clean, and radiating authentic homely vibes. Perfect for families or a comforting solo meal. Value: Unbelievably reasonable for the exceptional quality and generous portions. Kicchana Halli Mane isn't just a restaurant; it's a culinary sanctuary. They haven't just preserved Karnataka's rich food heritage; they elevate it with passion, skill, and the freshest ingredients. The Akki Rotti is legendary, and their Veg Biryani is nothing short of revolutionary for vegetarians and biryani aficionados alike. If you crave authentic, soul-satisfying, incredibly delicious Karnataka food made with heart, RUN, don't walk, to Kicchana Halli Mane! This place is a TREASURE, and I will be dreaming of that roti and biryani until my next visit (which will be very soon!). Highest possible...

Subject: Feedback on Poor Service Experience – 10th May Visit

Dear [Hotel/Restaurant Management Team],

I am writing to share my sincere feedback regarding a disappointing experience during our recent visit to your restaurant on Saturday, 10th May, along with my family.

We were a group of five members and were seated near the cash counter. We placed an order for the following:

2 Breakfast Combos

1 Rava Idli

1 Idli Vada

1 Masala Dosa

While the breakfast combo, rava idli, and idli vada were served promptly, we found the food to be excessively oily and not served hot. We continued with our meal, hoping for a better experience with the remaining items.

However, the masala dosa was served only after 25 to 30 minutes, despite repeated reminders. When I requested an update, the server casually responded with, "You have to wait, sir – or cancel and order something else." This kind of attitude is unacceptable in a professional hospitality setting. The argument could have been avoided with a little courtesy and clarity.

In the meantime, we had asked for extra chutney and sambar, which were not served on time. Ironically, they were brought only during coffee service, by which time they were of no use.

I even brought this matter to the supervisor’s attention, but his response was shocking. He said, “Sir, give 0 feedback, it’s your wish.” There was no apology, no assurance, and no concern shown regarding the delayed service or our dissatisfaction. This indifference left us deeply disappointed, especially coming from a hotel associated with a reputed personality.

To add to the poor experience, we received the bill within one minute of finishing and were asked to vacate the table due to waiting guests. While we understand the demand, the manner in which it was communicated lacked courtesy and hospitality.

My Humble Request: Kindly train your service staff and supervisors to handle guests with respect and professionalism.

Please improve food quality and ensure it is served hot and with hygiene.

Service should be timely, coordinated, and polite, especially in such a well-known establishment.

Take guest feedback seriously to ensure consistent standards.

As a well-wisher, I hope you treat this feedback constructively and take the necessary steps to improve both food quality and customer service for future patrons.

Thank you for your...
