I recently visited Kikis with a friend based on the positive recommendations I had heard about their food. We ordered Chicken Parda, Mushroom Chilly, and Long Island Iced Tea. While the overall experience had its ups and downs, I left the restaurant feeling somewhat disappointed.
Let's start with the positives. The Long Island Iced Tea was definitely the highlight of the evening. It was well-mixed, refreshing and hit the spot perfectly. I found the ambience of the restaurant to be quite appealing. The decor and atmosphere were welcoming and created a pleasant dining environment.
Unfortunately, the food failed to live up to our expectations. The Chicken Parda seemed as though the chicken was not fresh and had possibly been frozen. The texture was off and the flavor lacked the freshness and succulence one would expect from a quality chicken dish.
Furthermore, the Mushroom Chilly dish was a complete disappointment. It was excessively salty, making it nearly inedible. The excessive saltiness overpowered any other flavors that may have been present, rendering the dish nearly tasteless. This was by far the worst Mushroom Chilly I have ever had.
Despite the food experience, I must give credit where it's due. The Long Island Iced Tea and the ambience of Kikis were the saving grace of the visit. It's clear that the establishment puts effort into creating a pleasing environment and crafting enjoyable beverages.
In conclusion, my visit to Kikis was a mixed bag. While the ambience and Long Island Iced Tea were delightful, the disappointing quality of the Chicken Parda and Mushroom Chilly left a sour taste in my mouth. I hope the restaurant takes steps to improve the freshness of their ingredients and the overall execution of...
Read moreIt was good but expensive. I'm editing my review because I visited the place like three days ago and I can say I'm very disappointed with the food quality and staff service.
I ordered Ranch bbq chicken wings, brocolli and cheese soup, egg noodles and sizzling brownie. The wings were good but the quantity was very less, it was five pieces and the brocolli soup was absolutely worthless, tasted like salt water. Egg noodles were average and the brownie seemed to be a really old one, and they're so stingy with the chocolate sauce there was hardly a spoon or two on the sizzler base. Despite paying so much the food quality, taste and quantity was bad.
The service wasn't available on the top, so we went there to click pics and asked the waiter to let us know when the food is cooked, the waiter once came and informed us and we went to our seats 10 mins later and the food was already kept on the table which is so unprofessional. You don't just leave food on the table where no one is sitting and expect us to eat the same after its cold.
I'd recommend places like Kasipu, U turn and tikki village around the place because this restaurant was a disappointment. Plus to add on its not couple friendly, waiters keep...
