Normally I don't write bad reviews and i just let it go. But, I am not sure how this restaurant is earning 5 star review whereas it has just 1 tawa ans can't manage influx of more than 10 customers. Visited this place on Aug 14 and the crew was struggling to manage the crowd. Understandable, so, we waited 15-20 more minutes literally begging them for a plate of idli because my kid was very hungry. Lot of people were leaving the place after getting tired of waiting and when our turn came, he just gave one plate idli to us and took the rest to some "posh" looking people who just landed. That was the straw, I left jog and drove back to Sagar to have my breakfast. Better to finish your breakfast in Sagar before heading to Jog, no good restaurant there, looking at you Bangalore folks who are used to a decent darshini every book and corner.
I understand the place is small to handle the crowd for a tourist attraction, but why can't the government either allow a private player to cater? Just hand the darn food parcels out, most people have come in private vehicles, they can eat breakfast in there. It's ironical that my parents took me to Jog when I was a kid more than 30+ years back and faced same difficulties for food and i too had the same...
Read moreThis is the only restaurant in and around the Jog Falls view point campus. All others are small food stalls and shops. This restaurant serves the Jog Falls visitors and also the people who stays at the Mayura hotel which is there at the campus. This restaurant becomes overcrowded during peak season and during the weekends. If you go in summer or non-season time the restaurant will be generally empty or less crowded. Food menu consists of veg and non-veg items but is very limited. 4-5 veg dishes and 4-5 nonveg dishes. Food price is not very high . You have to go to the restaurant early during Lunch, dinner and breakfast start time , because if you are late then you will be left with very less food choices . The food we ordered were very tasty .The restaurant is very clean , and the staff is very courteous.
Overall , Its the only decent restaurant in the Jog Falls view point campus , with tasty but limited veg and non-veg dishes. It is clean compared to the road side restaurants you...
Read moreThe only decent place for food around this area. Menu options are vast but most of them are made on order which means a wait time of 20 to 30 mins. Another thing to note is that due to construction reaching to this restaurant is a task. Lot of construction material fallen here and there and lot of labour activity. Coming to the food, we ordered jeera rice, dal tadka, and veg fried rice. Non veg option were available on order but didn’t want to try non veg in a remote location restaurant. Food was tasty and rates were reasonable. I would suggest to go here only if necessary due to the construction work around Best part is that just behind the restaurant there is the jog fall view point. Toilets available but they are pay and use....
