Raj Dum Biryani: A Flavorful Journey in Every Bite

Raj Dum Biryani offers a delightful culinary experience for anyone craving authentic biryani. Nestled in the heart of the city, this eatery is celebrated for serving up some of the most aromatic and flavorful biryani that tantalizes the taste buds and leaves you craving more.

Atmosphere: The ambiance at Raj Dum Biryani is simple yet inviting, with a casual, no-frills setting that puts the focus squarely on the food. The warm and welcoming environment makes it a comfortable spot for family meals or casual gatherings with friends.

Food Quality: The star of the menu is, without a doubt, the biryani. Cooked in the traditional dum style, where ingredients are slow-cooked in layers, the biryani here is a rich tapestry of flavors. The rice is fragrant, fluffy, and perfectly spiced, while the meats are tender and infused with herbs and spices that permeate every morsel. The balance of spices is impeccable, providing warmth without overpowering the natural flavors of the ingredients.

Menu Variety: Apart from their signature biryani, Raj Dum Biryani also offers a variety of other dishes. The menu includes vegetarian options, appetizers, and traditional desserts, catering to a wide range of tastes and preferences. The Hyderabadi chicken biryani and the mutton kebab are must-try dishes that complement the main attraction beautifully.

Service: Service at Raj Dum Biryani is quick and efficient. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu and eager to offer recommendations, making guests feel immediately at ease. Despite the bustling nature of the restaurant, especially during peak hours, the wait time is minimal, and the food arrives hot and fresh.

Price: The pricing at Raj Dum Biryani is very reasonable considering the quality and portion sizes. It offers great value for money, making it accessible for regular visits without breaking the bank.

Conclusion: Raj Dum Biryani is a fantastic dining choice for anyone in search of authentic, deliciously prepared biryani. With its hearty portions, fair pricing, and consistently tasty offerings, it's a gem that promises a satisfying meal every time. Whether you're a biryani connoisseur or a newcomer to this iconic dish, Raj Dum Biryani is sure to impress with its dedication to...

Raj Dum Biriyani, located in Hoskote, has gained quite a reputation for its much-hyped Hoskote Natti style mutton biryani. After a birding trip to Hoskote Lake, I decided to try this biryani early in the morning at 8am, accompanied by mutton soup.

Unfortunately, the biryani did not live up to the expectations set by its hype, much like other biryanis from the Hoskote area. The mutton in the biryani was tough and lacked the succulent tenderness one would expect. Additionally, the biryani was overly oily, which took away from the overall taste.

On the positive side, the mutton leg soup served at Raj Biriyani was good, although not exceptional. It provided a decent flavor but didn't leave a lasting impression. As for the kebab, it fell short compared to what can be found at nearby shops near liquor stores in Bengaluru. The kebabs lacked the desired taste and quality.

One aspect that contributes to Raj Biriyani's popularity is its strategic location next to the highway, making it easily accessible for travelers passing through. Many people mistakenly believe that this is the original Hoskote Natti style biryani, but it appears to be a replica of another famous shop. The availability of sufficient parking space is a convenience for customers. The dining area has a local setup, in line with the overall ambiance, but cleanliness could be improved.

Taking all these factors into account, I would rate Raj Biriyani with a modest 3 out of 5. While it may be a convenient option for those craving Hoskote biryani while on the highway, the quality and taste of the biryani itself were...

Every negative review i read is that biriyani is not good or overhyped or any comparison with other hotels. please don't mistake them. Today people know about basmati rice and dhum biryani. But in olden days this is the type of biriyani prepared in this region and some parts of tamilnadu (seeragasamaba rice) today we call them as Palo. Many reviews contain that biriyani is oily, the main thing is in this type of recipe (biriyani said as Palo) biriyani is cooked along with meat so after some time i.e completion of cooking biriyani the rice will become sticky and lumps. In order to prevent this needs a lot more of grease so ultimately these people use tons of ghee. I've tried anandh, mani and raj in hoskote, compared to them all i loved in mani and secondly here in raj. Please try to compare in the same stream line, don't compare palo biriyani with basmati dhum biryani. Respect chef's please don't criticise them with your opinion. YouTubers over hype place just for the sake of the views to the post and increase subscribers. Don't trust them blindly and blame the hotel/restaurant. If you read my review till here means you are the person who really matters other people's heart. Reason for 3 stars is parking and service Parking is really very far. I've noticed they re running a good business atleast they should have provided shelter for our vehicles and service people don't provide proper service very delayed and...

The restaurant is basic and has minimum decor. It has a very high sheet ceiling, with simple seating arrangements. It looks more like a wedding dining hall. clean and maintained well. Perfect for a good seated self service dining. The biryani is good here. We had chicken and Mutton kushka which was tasty and the rice was well cooked and tasted good, it is served with raita alone. They also serve mutton dishes, which  are equally good and tasty as side dishes too. Tried chicken kabab and Mutton fry which went well with Kushka. Overall food is tasty and perfect for a lunch meal with family or friends The food could be served in disposable plates or plantain leaves, plastic plates look creased and worn out after being used again & again. They operate on a self-service pre-paid model. You place your order at the cash counter and pick up your food at respective counters, where it's already cooked and ready. Simple and easy. And fast too, if you're in a rush. The staff is friendly and efficient. At the wash basin, there was no soap dispenser. Washing hands only with water is not clean enough, especially for oily hands. Pick up tissues at the counter. The washroom facility could be improved which is pretty bad for the quantity of crowd here. The prices are very much affordable and hence it is a good alternative if you want a budget meal yet don’t want to compromise on the taste and quantity

Funny thing - we noted this place on the highway after crossing toll plaza and said to ourselves - we reached Hoskote - the land of nati style biryani. In fact we reached Mani Dum Biryani too late (9am) and stock was over. We remembered this place and promptly went over. Being a sunday, the place was a bit crowded but the aroma was good enough indicator that Raj Dum Biryani would be equally good. There was no queue and service was quick although we had to hustle around the biryani 'handi' among 20-30 people. we got 3 mutton biryani, 2 chicken kebab and 1 boti fry as parcel. we couldn't resist some chicken kebab and they were juicy and tasted awesome. Eventually when we had the biryani back home, the portion turned good enough with adequate mutton pieces per person and they were very soft. The biryani wasn't oily at all (maybe the timing worked out for us since we got biryani from almost top of the handi and not towards the bottom in which case I believe a lot of oil might have creeped in). Overall, this seems a good alternative but can't opine till we try the other two (Anand and Mani). I wouldn't buy the Boti fry again though as it seemed to be made of too many mutton leftovers.
