Amongst a bunch of restaurants that call them "Kerala" hotel, this one stands different. Not only this doesn't have that board which means we will overcharge you by Atleast 25%, the food here is good and i am glad we took the Yamuna vihar staff's advice and ate almost all meals here except for one which we felt the difference. So called Kerala hotel had marked up prices going over 15 rupees on a single ghee roast.
Not only that the Sri Ganesh guys will not rip you off, they will get you good food. If you want to eat something similar to kerala meals, ask for boiled rice (moodari) and not the white rice (pachari).
Like many hotels in kerala, this place seves good breakfast, lunch and after 5, chinese food is available and i liked the gobi manchurian here. Food and Pricing not killing you is the best reasons to eat here😬
I repeat, if you can help it, stay away from places with 'Kerala hotel' boards bigger than the hotel names. Mookambika will be flooding with malayalees on season and when you are leaving after temple visit, all you see is that board. Have a little patiance, walk a bit more towards Souparnika(road to the right when exiting temple's roadblock) and you will see this hotel opposite to Beena residency just after...
Read moreOur experience at Sri Ganesh Grand Restaurant, Kollur (Karnataka) was extremely disappointing. The food was average at best, but the service and staff behavior were very poor.
The most shocking part was their billing practice, which clearly felt like cheating. We ordered 8 sets vadas, 13 teas, and 1 peace idli, and the staff initially handed us a bill of ₹1125 — completely unreasonable for such a simple order. When we questioned it, the cashier edited the bill but still refused to provide the original copy. This dishonest handling left us feeling cheated and disrespected.
Such fraudulent activities create a very bad impression and spoil the customer’s trust. In reality, the food we had was worth around ₹700, yet they tried to overcharge us by a huge margin.
⚠️ Warning to fellow Malayalees and all travelers: Please be very cautious when visiting this restaurant. Always check your bill carefully...
Read moreWe recently visited the newly renovated Hotel Sri Ganesh, now rebranded as Hotel Sri Ganesh Grand, and it was a delightful experience. The ambiance has been beautifully updated, providing a fresh and inviting atmosphere. We enjoyed a scrumptious meal that included fragrant fried rice and a rich paneer curry, both bursting with flavor. The masala dosa and ghee masala dosa were perfectly crisp and satisfying, while the filter coffee and tea were refreshing complements to our meal. The ghee roast was a standout, rich and indulgent. Overall, the food was delicious, and the upgrades to the hotel make it a fantastic dining...
