Decent location very near from Vijaya Vithala Temple in Hampi. This is a good thali place!!They have huge parking.
There is no ambience at all but in the middle of a farm area with lots and lots of trees, langurs; they setup few sheds with tables/chairs and a kitchen!!
There were some rabbits in the cage and kids fed them some carrot peels!
Decent place but the service is prompt.
We arrived late for lunch and they suggested Thali for quick service!
We tried 1 veg thali, 1 special thali, Jeera rice! Rice was OK and there was a string of hair in the jeera rice. The highlight of our lunch was the Banana leaf curry; it is a must and very delicious.
I would advise the management to take the responsibility of the issue(hair) and acknowledge and assure the customers to improve the hygiene and I understand no one does this willingly!
Did not take any pics of the food, Sorry we were late and hungry! Please do try the place and add your pics/review so it is helpful for others!

Read moreHighly Unsatisfactory! Our visit to Tamarind Tree Restaurant was ruined by extremely slow and disorganized service. After we placed our food order, we waited for one full hour. A supervisor then informed us they had lost the order chit and asked us to order again. We repeated the order patiently, but the delay continued. We waited nearly another hour for simple food like chapati. This problem was widespread; many other tables also faced the same excessive delays. This shows a major issue with how the restaurant is managed. A total wait of almost two hours for basic food due to a lost order is unacceptable.
Recommendation: Due to the proven incompetence and the unacceptable service delays, we strongly do not recommend this restaurant to...
Read moreThe food is of good quality - well-made and tastes good. Some dishes were outstanding, others were good. Nothing bad.
However, the management of the restaurant seating is horrible. They don’t manage the allotment of tables to customers, and if there is a large crowd, you have to literally stand next to a table you want, until the people eating there get up and leave. This is no way to manage a restaurant in a high traffic tourist area, and made for an extremely unpleasant experience for us.
All it takes is to have one person at the front to manage this. Instead, customers have to run up and down desperately trying to find a table where people look like they’re ready to leave. And maybe fight with someone else who also...
