The seating is decent. Interior is good, But and a big BUT.. The food is sadly pathetic. I had both veg and non veg and both failed to impress my taste buds. The fried rice was moist, the Dal fry was ahh let's say wasn't a proper Dal fry. The Aloo gobi tasted as if it was hastily prepared. Garlic chicken dry was the worst. The chicken pieces were small, felt like it was given as a complimentary dish. The chicken was jars and tasted bad. No scent of garlic at all. I don't know if I will have an upset stomach later. Strongly suggest against this place. Cutlery... Don't even ask about it.. The glasses seemed like they haven't been cleaned since ages.. Plates if u wipe with tissue you will see the dirt impression on the tissue. The lime soda at the end had some black dirt in them which I had to argue with the manager and get exchanged. I don't know if they behave as such with people out of karnataka only.. But I am seriously disappointed. Even way smaller food joints serve better taste...
Read moreThis review is only for their wine & chocolates shop inside the restaurant.
I was passing through Kushalnagar on a road trip and wanted some homemade passion fruit wine. The next door liquor shop pointed me to Top in Town.
They had me try a passion fruit wine that was not great and the only one they had, so I did not buy. Then they said “please try our bestseller red wine”. We did, it was very sweet and we thought we’ll buy it for lack of other options.
Only after taking it and going on with the road trip did we realise that the wine we were sold was non-alcoholic. Further they had sold it to us at ₹850. The Coorg gift shop down the road from them had a going rate of ₹400 for proper alcoholic wines of the same quantity. ₹300-400 ended up being the going rate across Coorg as well. We feel like we badly overcharged because we’re tourists. On the off-chance that actually is the rate of a wine from them, that wine is not worth ₹850.
So I would strongly suggest you don’t shop...
Read moreDelicious food, must try akki roti and parota here. Prices are on the higher side but you get to eat good food. The quality of food is great. It's usually crowded but people go to eat here because of good tasty food. There is a huge variety of chocolates and wine for sale here. This restaurant is very old, they relocated here and made it new but the taste is still the same that was in demand. The tables are also decently spaced and you don't get disturbed even at peak hours. Huge parking space available for even buses, so parking is not at all a problem. This is the first good restaurant you get while entering Coorg district and is the last if you are leaving towards Mysore...
