Wanderlust Hampi — Restaurant in Karnataka

During my Sankranthi break, my friends and I decided to go to Hampi with no plan,agenda or schedule in mind.We arrived in the Hippie Island without booking a place/room for ourselves. We walked around checked out a few places and then finally landed in Gopi Island and knew a 100% for sure that this was the place we’d be staying. The friendly staff & Ravi the owner made our stay worthwhile. My friends & I are all teachers, and we really just wanted to eat good food, unwind & chill. Right from day one, everything we ordered and ate, tasted bloody amazing. Highlight of our trip was the last day where Peter (one’ve the staff guys) cooked his signature ‘Wine steak’ for us, trust me I haven’t tasted a steak like that throughout India, man it was pure goodness in my mouth. |Ravi and his entire staff are such sweet people that they go out of their way to make the people feel safe and comfortable.This was by far a memorable trip for me & my friends,we can’t wait to come back here on our next vacay !! |Overall, staying at Gopi’s was a great decision we’d taken cause it truly was - “A home away from home” !! ||Highlights:|-Amazing staff |-Drool worthy food|-Excellent Lemon tea with honey |-Great paddy fields ambience |-Music is on point ||If you are in Hampi, without a shadow of doubt in your mind - GO TO GOPI ISLAND 🌴 !! Another decent cafe I stumbled upon based on Google recommendations. After a hectic day of trek adventure we landed here for lunch.

Though the roads which lead to this are narrow and a bit confusing. Believe in Google Maps, it will lead you exactly to the gate of this cafe from which the lush greenery atmosphere will welcome you into the cafe premises.

The ambience is simple and clean. Surrounded by green paddy field this cafe has ground seating setup with spotless upholstery. The whole cafe is airy and you can feel the positive vibes. There is a small activity area outside with good shade of trees all over the place.

The service friendly and genuine. Our orders were delivered on time and we were attended thoroughly whenever required.

We ordered Veg Kurma with Butter Phulka along with Paneer Manchurian. Paneer Manchurian was rightly marinated and had right amount of spiciness. Veg Kurma on the other hand was rich in ingredients, balanced flavours and tasty. It went well with soft phulkas. The chocolate ball in desert was good in both perfection and taste-wise. We also ordered Pineapple & Orange juice which were excellent.

The pricing is a bit on the costlier side, but the taste, ambience & service makes up for it. They accept UPI & Cash payments.

I do recommend this place for a peaceful environment & their excellent quality...
