Alaska Restaurant — Restaurant in Kerala

Had a really disappointing dinner here tonight.

When ordering, I specifically told the waiter on more than one occasion my partner is vegan and does not eat any milk/cheese/egg/meat/ any animal products etc.

Instead of checking with another member of staff, or saying honestly I do not understand, he pretended that he understood me and went away with my order.

To my disappointment her drink came with honey in it and her pasta with cheese on the top.

I understand there can be language barriers sometimes, but it is totally unacceptable for a so called “5*” hotel to make basic nutritional mistakes like this, which could have had significant health implications. Imagine if there was nuts in a curry and someone who was allergic had been reassured it was nut-free.

To top it off, when i complained, they offered to take 1 of 2 ice tea’s off the bill.

Complete lack of training for the waiting staff.

Do not mean to sound disrespectful - but it’s probably wise to have someone who can understand English taking food orders, for the sake of eliminating any confusion.

The manager was of course apologetic, appreciate his sentiment, but quite frankly it’s just not good enough.

My food was also very average (penne Arrabiata).

If it wasn’t for the waitress who was constantly smiling and trying to help and offering prompt service, would have had to rate this...

I had the pleasure of dining at Alaska restaurant at Eatty City road, Chithirapuram, Idukki, and I must say, it was ly delightful experience! The restaurant has a cozy and inviting ambiance, with comfortable seating and beautiful decor that transports you to a serene mountain lodge.

The menu at Alaska restaurant is impressive, featuring a wide variety of dishes that cater to all tastes. The restaurant specializes in North Indian and Chinese cuisine, and I was blown away by the quality and flavor of the food. From the succulent chicken tandoori to the delicious noodles and fish biriyani everything was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor.

What's more, the service at Alaska restaurant is outstanding. The staff are friendly...

If you are in Munnar, you should definitely try this place. Specially the morning ambience is really good.

Ambience - I will give 5/5. It has a very good ambience with view of the hill.

Food variety - They have lot of options to choose from. 5/5

Food tastes -I loved the food. Don't miss their continental and Kerala sea food. 5/5

Service - Service was also good 5/5

Price - I will rate 5/5. Decent pricing.

It's a good place to go with friends or family.

Note: This is inside "The Fog resort & spa". So don't get confused after reaching the location.
