I recently had the pleasure of dining at Avees Puttu House, and I must say it was a delightful experience. Located in the heart of the city, this cozy restaurant offers a unique and authentic taste of Kerala cuisine, with a special emphasis on the traditional dish called "puttu."
Ambience: Avees Puttu House has a warm and inviting ambience that immediately puts you at ease. The decor is simple yet elegant, featuring traditional elements that reflect the essence of Kerala. The seating is comfortable, and the overall atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming.
Food: The highlight of Avees Puttu House is, of course, their signature dish - puttu. Puttu is a traditional South Indian breakfast dish made with steamed rice flour and coconut. Avees Puttu House takes this humble dish to a whole new level by offering a variety of flavorful and innovative fillings.
The menu at Avees Puttu House offers a wide range of choices, catering to both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. The puttu is served with an array of accompaniments such as kadala curry (black chickpea curry), egg curry, chicken curry, fish curry, and an assortment of chutneys and pickles.
I opted for the traditional puttu with kadala curry, and I was impressed by the authenticity and depth of flavors. The puttu was light, fluffy, and perfectly cooked, while the kadala curry was rich and aromatic. The combination was truly delightful, and I couldn't resist ordering a second serving.
Service: The service at Avees Puttu House was attentive and friendly. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and provided helpful recommendations. They were quick to refill water and made sure that we had a pleasant dining experience.
Value for Money: Avees Puttu House offers good value for money. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were reasonable, considering the quality and taste of the food. The overall dining experience was well worth the price paid.
Conclusion: Avees Puttu House is a hidden gem for those craving authentic Kerala cuisine, especially the delectable puttu. From the warm ambience to the flavorsome food and attentive service, the restaurant checks all the boxes for a memorable dining experience. Whether you're a fan of South Indian cuisine or looking to explore new culinary horizons, Avees Puttu House is definitely worth a visit. I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a taste of Kerala's...

Read moreThe review I mentioned here is solely based on me and my family experience when I visited this restaurant. I visited this restaurant last sunday. When here this name Avees we have some expectations and I have visited another restaurant which worked on the changnacherry road. Now it is closed because of the highway extension. We were extremely dissatisfied with the food and the service of the restaurant. We reached the hotel at 1.30 pm. I asked for a menu card and they informed me they have only two options veg meals and Ghee rice with chicken roast combo. I asked them again about this big restaurant you have only two option for the public. They told you can opt for veg meals and you can order curry items fish duck etc.... So then with no option to go further because of hunger we have ordered veg meals with additional duck roast, fish curry and duck mamppas. So disappointed to say that the food was below average and rates are very high for instance one duck fry roast charged Rs. 600/- (three piece) Duck mappas charged Rs. 270/- (Four pieces that too small ones). One side of the restaurant where we were sitting air conditioning was not working properly and they didn't even have an extra fan option to reduce the humidity in this extreme weather condition we face. I highly advise no one to visit this restaurant as they don't work for customer satisfaction I believe they are in a feeling because of their earlier good feedback people come automatically. It's not that we should get wishes or warm greetings from the main people's satisfaction and different options for customers. Only that type of restaurant can provide a nice...
