Worth the 4* except for bad service. But even with that it offers hygenic good quality tasty food that's a huge value for money 3* quality food at 2* cost. This restaurant is a releaf compared to most other restaurants in near vicinity and some atrocious vegetarian hotels that charge nearly twice the rates exploiting travellers to Munnar. So if you are travelling to Munnar skip all other restaurants in 15km stretch up or down the road. Parking has improved since last visit Now the bad issues on 7th June They have not improved the service since my last review. still has that doesn't care attitude even after they promised below my first review that they will change. I am writing this on my 4th visit here. 1st time I walked out after waiting for almost 10min and not being served. The 2nd time even with full family the service personal didn't seem to notice customers for a good 15 minutes. 3rd time I had to shout for service. 4th time it's now 11minutes since I am waiting at table no service staff have bothered to attend until now. The restaurant ia not even half full. Earlier I thought thats because the restaurant is focusing on large group travellers. That didn't seem to be the case. Even after food is served and finished eating you have to wait atleast 15minutes for the bill to arrive

It was my bad luck that i came here with my family for a nice outing but the experience I had here totally spoiled our entire evening. My worst experience in any restaurants that i visited. The hotel needs to employ staffs with common sense at least. At first a guy who served us water, I think he was totally busy. He was literally throwing the water jug on to the table. We ordered mixed fried rice and butter chicken. It was the worst butter chicken I had. It was evident that they have used balance pieces of some fried chicken to make that cury. I have attached the photos of it. Then when they served us lime soda at the end, there were hair in it. I really don't know why they treat the customers in such a way, when they charge a high amount.

We ordered chicken fried rice and chilli chicken... It was tasting so weird and foul ... I gave some to the waiter to taste and see.. Even he didn't eat it and spat it out through the window😂... So we ordered chicken biriyani which was full of dalda and not very tasty...We really tried not to make a scene there..The worst part was after the payment , I complained about the food to the old bald man sitting at billing... He was shouting as if we brought the food from our home🤣🤣🤣🤣 .... Very very rude person!! He even called the waiter and scolded him for not reporting it.But I felt it was just a show 😁...We told the waiter a sorry..that was the least we could do. . Anyway never going to recommend this to anyone nor going here anymore ...

I wanted to share my experience at Cafe Manara Restaurant Kothamangalam recently, Unfortunately, the quality of the food was not up to par and I had to leave my meal unfinished. It was a disappointing experience and I hope that the restaurant will take steps to improve the quality of their food in the future. I was also concerned to learn that the food safety department seized old food from the restaurant today. Food safety is of the utmost importance and I hope that the restaurant will take the necessary steps to address any issues and ensure that all food served is safe for consumption. I would not recommend this restaurant based on my experience and the reports of food safety violations.

I visited here so many times.. but last few times this restaurant is becoming worst than previous visits. On the downstair table area, waitors doesn't have mannars. We waited there more tha 15 min to get menu card, One guy droped menu card to our table while he passes through that way and didn't looked at us. Also, its too bad to sit there. No hygiene. Cleaning staffs are too too bad. All the food waste were placed near to our table. We fed up with bad smell and atmosphere. totally horrible. Glasses for water is covered up with dirt. So we bought one bottle and didn't used glass.

Food was not bad (3 out of 5 rating) But service was too bad ( 1 out of 5 rating) It took 10 minutes for taking the order (This much time is intolerable). I am happy that after placing the order, it came within 15 minutes (That seems to be normal wait time). The shop have a non a/c ground floor and air conditioned upper floor. But I couldn’t find any difference and I was sweating so badly while sitting in so called air conditioned room. (Photo attached) May be this was the last time visiting this restaurant. I won’t suggest it to my friends
