Worth the 4* except for bad service. But even with that it offers hygenic good quality tasty food that's a huge value for money 3* quality food at 2* cost. This restaurant is a releaf compared to most other restaurants in near vicinity and some atrocious vegetarian hotels that charge nearly twice the rates exploiting travellers to Munnar. So if you are travelling to Munnar skip all other restaurants in 15km stretch up or down the road. Parking has improved since last visit

Now the bad issues on 7th June

They have not improved the service since my last review. still has that doesn't care attitude even after they promised below my first review that they will change.

I am writing this on my 4th visit here. 1st time I walked out after waiting for almost 10min and not being served. The 2nd time even with full family the service personal didn't seem to notice customers for a good 15 minutes. 3rd time I had to shout for service. 4th time it's now 11minutes since I am waiting at table no service staff have bothered to attend until now. The restaurant ia not even half full. Earlier I thought thats because the restaurant is focusing on large group travellers. That didn't seem to be the case. Very sad to bother the managemnt and staff of cafe manara kothamangalam. This is literally second time in my personal exprnce tht we notify on food quality and the way they serve the dishes..Firstly, couple of months back on a quarter portion of alfaham as parcel with foul smell in whole piece of chicken and today (21/3/2021) second experience tht we ordered 3 portions of mandi, with that we got one special dish with the name " mayonese with used tissue". Wht carelessness it is? We all understand and knw we all human beings and mistakes can happpen, but this is second time..this is completely carelessness. The mayonese tht u guys served to us actually served to another customers, after they went off the same mayonese served to our new table with used tissue..plse ensure the quality and dnt forget there are many fishes in the ocean, not only Cafe...

best restaurant you can find in kothamangalam. The location is so convenient that tourists from Munnar can sit and enjoy their hearty meal after a long hectic ride down munnar. the Arabian dishes are best here as well as the north and chinese. This place exerts more pressure on quality rather than quantity. the customer care service is also promising. You know mistakes happen on everyone, but it depends how you accept them and be ready to solve those.

now coming to the negative side, one problem I saw some people encounter is the harsh response from staffs of the AC section and slow response during peak times. there is also limited availability of continental foods

so looking in overall way it is the best hotel you can find in the gate way of munnar. clean and hygienic, open kitchen and no report of poisoning gives a promising look for this...
