Calicut Karachi Durbar is a hidden gem for barbeque lovers in the city. This quaint little spot may not be the biggest in terms of space, but it more than makes up for it with flavor and charm. The restaurant offers a great variety of barbeque dishes, and I must say their Barbeque Chicken, Sheekh Kebabs, and Chops are definitely worth trying. The flavors are bold, smoky, and rich, though I’d note that the dishes are slightly on the spicier side — which, for me, only added to the experience.

Seating here is limited, with space for around 12 people at a time, but that’s part of its charm. It gives the restaurant a “hole-in-the-wall” vibe, reminiscent of cozy eateries you’d stumble upon in Southeast Asia. While dining in can be fun, I’d also suggest trying takeaway or delivery if you’re visiting during peak hours.

One of my personal favorites is the BBQ Chicken Chest with three Karachi Rotis — perfect for a single person looking for a filling yet affordable meal. The combination is flavorful, hearty, and truly satisfying.

What sets Karachi Durbar apart is not just the food but also the value for money. The prices are very reasonable compared to the quality and quantity you get. It has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants in Calicut, and I can honestly say it’s the kind of place I’d even consider taking someone special on a first date.

My unforgettable experience.. Calicut Karachi Durbar - C – Confident , K – Kind, D – Delightful! I definitely must share this with all the readers here, you might find it long to read but please don’t skip it, as you will miss to know what Calicut Karachi Durbar is all about. They are “Confident with their cuisine, Kind natured people, Delightful food and service.”

Last week I placed a surprise dinner order from Dubai to my little niece who is in Calicut for her birthday. My friend recommended this place and I contacted them through FB. I texted them on messenger but was actually not expecting a reply any sooner. To my surprise they responded immediately, Mr. Jamshi had all the patience to chat with me and make the whole process smooth. He also agreed to put a Birthday note wishing the little girl along with the food order and also sent me the pics of the birthday note and the food, which made me drooling for the yummy food. Will surely try CKD on my next visit to Calicut. I am totally impressed and happy with their service and hospitality. Huge thanks to Mr. Jamshi. “Keep rocking – Calicut Karachi Durbar”.
