One of the worst meals I've had. Yesterday, while returning from Kannur, we stopped here for lunch and were completely let down. None of the curries had any flavor or even basic salt. The sambar was so bland and watery that it was hard to tell which one it even was. All the side dishes tasted like soup diluted in plain water—there was absolutely no taste or effort in the preparation.
Extremely disappointing and definitely not worth the stop. It’s no surprise the food quality is poor when the restaurant can’t find proper local (Malayali) cooks and has to substitute with untrained staff from Bengal (no offense meant) who dont know basic of kerala dish . Read moreI recently visited Anandh Bhavan and, unfortunately, the experience was disappointing and not up to the Anandh Bhavan standards that I have experienced before, especially compared to the Chennai branch in Tamil Nadu.
The food quality and service were below expectations. When we requested additional chutney, it was not delivered promptly and only arrived after we had finished most of our meal. Basic service elements were also lacking — for example, water was served only towards the end of the meal instead of at the beginning, as it should be.

While traveling we usually opt for Ananda bhavan or A2B for the quality and service they proviide....we ordered 2 set idly and upma...the quality and quantity of the food is very less ...idly was sticky and not steamed enough. Sambar is filled with water and not enough salt and spicy..the bill was 227 rupees ..Also in the washroom there was not enough water to wash the hands... They kept a pot filled with water nearby which was not clean.... Didn't expect such a service from a prestigious food...
