From Best to Worst

We were once loyal customers of Cake World because of their excellent food and service. Sadly, our latest experience was a disaster and has completely changed our opinion.

We placed an order for a birthday on 23/05/2025 – a customized cake (delivery at 3:00 PM), 10 litres of palada payasam (delivery at 12:00 PM), and muffins. The cake design was our own, and they charged an extra ₹1200 for it – quite overpriced, but we trusted them due to past good experiences.

On the day of the function, we paid in cash and collected the payasam at 12:00 noon, as agreed. Unfortunately, we didn’t open it on the spot. When we did at home, it was a total disaster – more like appam batter than payasam. It looked like they added rawa just to make up the quantity. It was tasteless, poorly prepared, and definitely not made by anyone who knows how to cook proper palada payasam. Even my 10-year-old could have done better.

Then came the cake saga. Despite being promised delivery by 3:00 PM, it arrived only at 4:30 PM after 10 calls – and even then, the design was incomplete and not what we asked for. Completely unacceptable.

To make things worse, the muffins were never delivered at all. No explanation, no follow-up, nothing. This is the level of care they now show for customer orders.

And finally, no one even came to collect the payasam vessels. We suspect they knew exactly how bad it was and didn’t want to face us again.

What used to be a reliable place has clearly lost its quality and commitment. Maybe the management has changed – whatever the reason, the standards have fallen drastically. We won’t be returning, and we definitely won’t recommend Cake...
