Gokulam Nandana Pure Veg Restaurant is a hidden gem located inside the compound of Indian Oil Petrol Pump, and it's an excellent place to stop and rest after a long drive. The restaurant is perfect for vegetarians, as it offers a wide variety of delicious vegetarian dishes.
During my visit to Gokulam Nandana, I tried their snacks in the evening, which included crispy samosas, spicy pakoras, and crispy potato fries. The food was simply outstanding, and it was clear that the chefs used high-quality ingredients in their dishes. Everything was well-cooked and tasted fresh, which was impressive.
I also tried their ssharje shakes, which were delicious. The shakes were thick, creamy, and full of flavour. The coffee was also great and served hot, which was perfect on a cool evening. The prices of the food and drinks were very reasonable, which was an added bonus.
The restaurant has a large parking space available, which was great because it meant that I didn't have to worry about finding a spot to park my car. The ambiance of the restaurant was also excellent. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive to our needs. The seating was comfortable, and the restaurant was well-lit and well-ventilated.
Overall, I would highly recommend Gokulam Nandana Pure Veg Restaurant to anyone who is looking for a great place to stop and eat during their long drives. The food is outstanding, the service is excellent, and the ambiance is perfect. The fact that it's located inside the compound of Indian Oil Petrol Pump makes it very convenient for travellers. I had an excellent experience, and I will definitely be visiting Gokulam Nandana again...
Read moreI would strongly advise against dining at this restaurant. The only reason people stop here is that the Karnataka Bus Airavat makes a dinner halt at this location, leaving passengers with no other option. However, if you're traveling from Thiruvananthapuram, Kottayam, or other parts of southern Kerala on the Airavat bus, I recommend carrying your own food instead of relying on this restaurant.
The service is very poor, with only two staff members attending to customers. They seem reluctant to take orders, and I had to wait over 15 minutes for someone to attend to me. The bus stops for only 15-20 minutes, which makes the slow service even more frustrating.
Also, I didn't receive the coffee I ordered along with a Ghee Roast. When I informed the cashier about the mistake, I asked them to charge me only for the Ghee Roast. However, they didn't provide a bill and charged me Rs. 90, which I suspect may include the cost of the coffee as well. Due to the rush and the long queue at the cash counter, I couldn't argue about the bill.
Unfortunately, this restaurant has seen a significant decline in service quality over the years. The staff seems unprofessional and untrained, often standing in the kitchen waiting for food to be prepared instead of taking orders. I used to frequent this restaurant with my family for breakfast or evening snacks when visiting Guruvayoor temple or Thrissur, but I would no longer recommend it.
If you're traveling by bus and this restaurant is the designated stop, I would advise carrying your own food to avoid the disappointment and frustration that comes with...
Read moreInside pongam petrol pump good for tourists bus lunch time A highway side restaurant with a spacious parking area and quick service. It's a regular stop for interstate bus services for dinner break. Rates are reasonable, ambience is very normal and needs improvement on cleanliness.
Had dinner from here during a bus journey to Bangalore, it's a common place where a lot of Bangalore bound buses from Kerala stop. It is a vegetarian restaurant so i had paneer and chappatti and the food was freshly prepared and delicious. The price wasn't high and the service was fast. The hotel staff were polite and the hotel is really spacious
Close to fuel station, easy to spot boards, close to cafe coffee day, not hard to miss spot.
Realised after stopping here that its a pit stop for most travel buses, so had the same expectations while going in.
Service was a below par, had to get a order taken, even for getting a glass of hot water.
Ordered ghee roast Dosa, batter was a bit more fermented that I would have like on a ghee roast, the quantities on the side dish like sambar and chutney was very less, and I did not get a refill even after requesting for some.
The location in itself is not bad, has restroom...
