Went here a month back and I waited this long to post this review so that I don't say anything out of anger or sadness. Ordered a parcel here. Once we got the parcel, our car would not start cos the battery went out. The people running this place saw that, since we were parked in their entrance. Since then their attitude was like, get your car out of here cos this is our space, as if we did it on purpose and wanted to ruin their life or something. So we ordered for a few drinks till the car mechanic came in and they were eager to chase us out as if we were being a burden and even presented the bill before we were done with out drinks. Long story short don't do this to your customers, they don't want it, they too work for someone and might have a real bad day. I could easily have said that this place is so bad energy that my car broke down, but we don't do it, so don't. It's really a bad attitude and it ruins the overall customer experience. Bad attitude from front office staff can create a bad restaurant experience for anyone. Everything together from front office to cooks to security to cashier to servers creates a restaurant experience. Sadly you guys disappointed us a lot that day. You being a brand from prominent in Trivandrum. I request you as a customer to treat your customers well or at least teach your staff to do...

Never experienced this much of worst food in my life. i have ordered for a half shawai and an extra mionize +porotta. after few minutes the food arived and the chicken sems to be not fresh. what ever i start eating but when i take a piece from it, it grind like an ash. and i just take away that peice and i go for the porotta. It was not hot. however i break a piece and dip it in mionize .total disappointed because it is fermented.lattet i call the supply and ask is this fresh chicken? he go out and come with another staff he replied me that yes. its a fresh one. i just show them how the chicken looks. after that i dont feel well and Stop eating. At the time of payment i said that chicken was not fresh and mionize too. they remained the same position that no it was fresh. so i dont want to say anything more. Overall the only fresh item i recieve from there is the cabbage and onion slice. So please show atleast some responsibility for the money we...

I have visited Halais three times, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing.

First visit: I tried their porotta with chicken curry. The porotta was below average in taste and texture—dry and lifeless. The chicken curry was just okay. I also ordered their ice cream, Exotica, which was decent.

Second visit: I tried their snacks and tea. Both were average, nothing special.

Third visit: I ordered their Chicken Dum Biriyani - Halais Special, priced at ₹270. This was the worst biriyani I’ve ever had. They don’t offer half portions, forcing you to struggle through a full plate. For ₹270, the quality and taste were extremely disappointing. If they priced it between ₹130-160, it might be acceptable, but at this rate, it feels like a complete rip-off.

The only redeeming items were their tea and ice cream. I strongly do not recommend this place if you’re looking for good food. If you just want snacks or tea, it’s manageable, but otherwise, it’s a...

Once a Favorite, Now a Disappointment – Halais Restaurant Pangappara Needs Urgent Attention I’ve visited Halais Restaurant in Pangappara many times and always appreciated the quality of the food they served. It used to be one of my go-to places for a good meal. However, my today visit with family during lunch was deeply disappointing. As soon as we entered, we were greeted with an unpleasant smell that lingered throughout the restaurant. The interior was poorly maintained, with visible dirt around the tables and chairs. The hand-washing area was especially unhygienic, emitting a strong foul odor and lacking basic cleanliness. It was also evident that the restaurant was understaffed, and the service lacked the professionalism we had come to expect from Halais. I hope the management takes immediate steps to restore the cleanliness and quality that once made this place worth visiting. Until then, I may have to rethink returning.
