I have been to numerous Aryaas restaurants all around Kerala and each boast of a rich and promising standards throughout. But, this particular one stood out among all of them as after many years of search I found the best, crispy, flavourful and absolutely faultless dosa , sambar and chutney here!! Everyone serves different kinds of dosas, but it is very hard to make me eat more than a single serving if it's not up to my standards. And so far no other restaurant in and around Kerala had been able to excel the perfect crispy ghee roasts I had at one of my favourite spots in Aluva ( not divulging the restaurant name here for obvious reasons), but this particular Aryaas has topped off the chart by excelling my fav spots ghee roast by many degrees in texture, taste, quality and quantity!!! And, podi dosa is my absolute queen of dosas and it's hard to come by that in the menu in Kerala and this place has it!!! I had no confusion as to what to order once I spotted podi roast in their menu and God such drool-worthy perfection smothered with that magic of chutney powder!!! And what really sets them apart is, if a place has good dosa, the chutney or the sambar might be mediocre or below, but here the quality of all the chutneys and the sambar was perfect as well. The sambar was of the right consistency with a well balanced texture, flavour and even the vegetables to water ratio was spot on! It wasn't masala water with dal mixed in, but a proper full fledged sambar. And the chutneys were bang on as well. Even the tea had an excellent balance of sweetness and strength. Like I said, nothing was too much, nothing too less. And what more could I ask when the waiter simply placed the extra servings of chutneys on each table to that we don't fall short of that, not that we will with the portions they serve on the plate it self. Anyways, I know where to stop for my breakfast not on my way to ernakulam. And they have a convenient parking facility. And for tourists there is a cultural artefact and souvenir shop attached to...
Read moreABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED and will never visit this hotel ever again and will also prevent my family and friends from doing so. However, its not about the food.
On 26th Dec, me and my family visited this hotel at around noon. Since this was a regular stop for refreshments for our regular journeys to Ernakulam, we did think of an alternate. We were a family of 3 Adults + 3 Kids (Aged 7, 3 and 1). My parents and kids were seated in a 4-person table (03 seats) while i found a spot at the nearby table. It was lunch-time and this was expected. The waiter arrived with a banana leaf and took the orders from my parents. It was 3 meals. 2 for them and 1 for my eldest son aged 7. The waiter without even spreading out the leaf announced 'You cannot feed the children from your leaf, you will have to order a seperate kids meal". My dad reasoned that the younger 2 kids were just aged 3 and 1, and how did the staff expect them to have separate lunch all by themselves while sitting in their lap. The waiter just would not listen. He took back the leaf and simply walked away with strong disapproval. We immediately took off to the billing counter and tried bringing this up to whoever was in-charge. I recited the incident 3 times on the whole. The expression I got from the person behind the counter was '...Is it?...no it wont be....". It would have made more sense if the particular waiter was called in at least for an explanation
So, Hotel Aryaas Veg, The policy if at all there is any, to charge children so young with this pathetic excuse of a reason called "Kids meal" is worse then begging. Anybody who travels this distance is prepared for the expenses. I have tipped your waiters no less than 100 rupees be whatever my bill on all of my visits. But finding lame reasons to juice out money is worse than stealing. This is a very good proof of what exactly your business...
Read moreI visited Aryaas Hotel today afternoon with my parents for lunch. My parents ordered South Indian meals, and I had a Veg Pulao. The meals were just average—nothing special. The Veg Pulao was okay, a bit on the moderate side in terms of taste. They did provide extra salad when I asked, which I appreciate, but there was no pickle served. Only one papad came with the pulao.
I also ordered a Sulaimani. I specifically asked if it was available, but the server didn’t seem to know what Sulaimani was. I explained that it’s like black tea, and he brought me a black tea instead—but unfortunately, it was extremely sour and bitter, not at all drinkable.
What upset me most was the behavior of the waiters. They appeared to mock us while we were eating—mimicking our actions, which felt very disrespectful. It was disappointing and made us uncomfortable. We came there to eat peacefully and paid for our food, and such treatment from the staff was truly disheartening.
After lunch, we visited a handicraft store in the same building, and the customer service there was also quite poor.
I’m giving a 3-star rating mainly because of the average food and the unpleasant experience with the staff. I had read many positive reviews before visiting, which now feel overly hyped. Also, the hotel is not visible from the main highway; we found it only through...
