Recently visited Hotel Dhanya, located near the Muvattupuzha roundabout. The property houses separate pure-veg and non-veg restaurants under the same roof. The veg section is well-maintained and inviting, while the non-veg area, though spacious, feels rather average in ambiance. We tried porotta, mutton chops, chilly beef, tea, and coffee. The porotta was the highlight of the meal — soft, fluffy, and cooked to perfection. The chilly beef was decent, though nothing exceptional. The much-hyped mutton chops were disappointing; our quarter plate came with two pieces — one tender and flavorful, the other hard and far from enjoyable. Unfortunately, the second plate we ordered arrived in the exact same state. Tea and coffee were the real low points — both watery and lacking flavor. Wash area and restrooms were acceptable, and parking is conveniently available in front of the restaurant. Overall, a mixed experience — worth a visit for the porotta, but expectations should be tempered for the rest.

Dhanya Hotel lost its old reputation. The major reason being the owner of the restaurant. I am writing this only because of the owner. - Unhygienic food ,plates ,table and surrounding. - Arrogant Owner cum Cashier - We ordered chicken roast , but they brought mutton . Owner argued with us saying we ordered mutton. - Arrogant Owner (version 2) - Saw another family arguing with the owner while giving order. Owner is too impatient with High Blood pressure. - Bad food quality - Dhanya hotel is known for its taste. But for last 4 times I have visited , I felt the food was pathetic. No taste , old dry meat , chlorine smelling drinking water and what not. - Never order Mutton - long back , once we got hair from mutton chaps. We mentioned this but they were reluctant to give us a different dish.

Very bad experience. Ordered mutton biryani, chicken biryani, egg fried rice and fish meals, prawns fry. Rate of mutton biriyani is ₹300. It was not upto the mark. Quantity was less and also quality is poor. When I tasted chicken biryani, I realised that mutton biriyani was better. Such a flop chicken biryani. Prawns fry was on another level. Prawns were feeling a boiled taste and masala was standing separately, salt was also not there, may be they will be much conscious about the customers health. With this kind of taste no one will order more foods.

1, The owner or receptionist- an old guy and another 50 year old guy does not really treat people nice.

Every time I go there, I see them quarreling with somebody. It seems like they have a feeling like they run the world. May be, it's because they are rich that they have this attitude towards people.

2, Their food is decent but as expensive as a 3-5 star hotel but their hotel doesn't look like a 3-5-star hotel. It does not provide any posh environment like you see in big hotels. I would say, it's just a local restaurant.

I have tried their chilly-chicken and liked it though.

3, Should people revisit here? For the attitude alone, I will not visit them anymore. I think more people should not promote such arrogant people especially when they are in the hospitality industry. Instead, we should promote other hotels near-by who provides great hospitality.

I would pick Pepper and Salt instead of this hotel any day. The service there is fantastic and foods are tastier! So it is important to promote them instead...

Serving delicious cuisine for decades in muvatttupuzha. Located at the beginning of the town, Hotel Dhanya has become a brand in the town for locals as well as travellers. Its really crowded during lunch time. Good place to dine in with friends and family. Food serviced has always been nice. Never had any bad experience. For families visiting with children and infants, they have got child chair as well a cradle made of bamboo. So mothers can enjoy the meal peacefully with your toddler enjoying a wonderful nap in the cradle. Even though the towel inside the cradle hasn't been washed for a quite a long time, it's always safe to carry your own. Parking options are available in the front of the hotel which is often full at times and theres option in theback as well which is a hidden...
