Just Loaf — Restaurant in Kerala

When you are in these parts of the country every other fast food joint would be serving either a shawarma or chicken and parotha. With Just Loaf, you guys are in for a big surprise, definitely not something which you would have expected. Had been following these guys for quite sometime on social and this place was one of my go to place on my trip here.

So coming to the place, the ambience is truly amazing, it has that modern + retro cafe look (a food truck with a cool little place to dine in). The tables the wash basin the selection of songs, all the small small details have been thoroughly thought for. In all 5 stars for the look and feel.

Now the main part when you are running a restaurant. Quite a few items in the menu were not available, thus leaving a very limited set of meals to choose from. Had called in for a meat burger, wraps, pulled BBQ chicken and few milkshakes to go with it (just in case everyone is wondering, we were a group of 5 ppl and it was not me alone having all these 😋). The presentation of the dish was really good. Taste wise as well, it was decent but was actually expecting a lot more. Definitely something which can be improved. The drink menu was really really good and they have a good selection of it as well (luckily all the options were available).

And last but not the least, I was definitely not expecting an outlet over here to accept Google Pay as the payment option. But then I should have known the most trendiest and the coolest place would have thought about this as well. Kudos and all the best to the team and I'm sure this will soon turn into a franchise model, giving a lot of big guns a run for their money. Do visit them if you are in this part of the town.

I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The service was truly top-notch; the staff was not only friendly but also incredibly attentive, making us feel genuinely welcomed.

Now, let's talk about the food. The mac 'n' cheese with Nashville Toppings was a delight! Creamy, cheesy, and packed with flavor - it was comfort food at its finest. And the special mocktail “ Hocus Pocus “ It was a burst of refreshing and unique flavors that perfectly complemented the meal.

Lotus Drama Cheesecake was a slice of heaven on a plate. The combination of the velvety cheesecake with the rich, caramel-like Lotus Biscoff spread was pure indulgence. Every bite was a delightful journey of textures and flavors.

I am a repeat customer. The last time I was in Tirur, I had a tasty burger and fries from Just Loaf. And it's with great expectations that I ordered today as well. The food is still great- at least the burger and fries are.

I tried the Iced Coffee today. It's a scam. A cold coffee would be well priced at ₹130-₹150. As would a hot coffee is well priced at ₹40-₹50. What is Iced Coffee though? It's a lazy preparation where milk is poured into a cup of coffee powder and sugar mixed together. A couple of ice cubes give the drink some sparkle.

Unlike a cold coffee where the frozen milk is crushed with coffee powder, this is a preparation of milk and ice cubes and sugar and coffee powder for a premium of ₹160.

Colour me disappointed because it tastes as bad as its price tag.
