►Bottom Line
Kadambra is located in the outskirts of Kakkanad and its just less than 5 minutes drive from Wonder La. Its one of the sought out destinations in Kochi that offers traditional Kerala Food. It also figures in the list of top 10 toddy shops in Kochi. I had been here only once during my final year in college and that too had to bunk a day from college. In adjacent to the family restuartant There is a toddy shop that offers fresh toddy. Its a perfect place for throwing parties, celebrating special moments and also to add a dash of fun to life.
►Menu :
The Menu offers an impressive list of Traditional and Mouth Watering Kerala dishes. They have got many variants under beef like Beef Roast, Beef Fry, Chilly Beef and Beef Dry Fry. Apart from the traditional dishes They offer Biriyanees of 5 variants (Veg/Chicken/Beef/Fish/Egg), Different variants of Soup, A good collection of tastier dishes under Prawns, A tastier handpicked dishes under Chicken A handful collection of Evening Snacks like Cutlets of 4 variants (Veg/Beef/Chicken/Finger), Fish Fingers, Onion Pakoda etc, and other premier Nadan Dishes made from Squid,Crab and Rabbit etc and their list goes on....
►Ambiance & Decor :
The place is clean and well maintained. The ambiance is good and its just like a normal restuarant.. Its feels so good and gives you a cozy feeling to dine here with friends. They have got family cabins too.
►Service: Service is quick, prompt and with a smile. Staffs are attentive and youthful. Staffs in the toddy shop are very friendly and vibrant.
►Food & Signature Dishes :
I have tried many of their dishes. To new a few the combinations of Appam & Beef roast was really good. Beef roast was really scrumptious and its spicy.Apart from this I have tried their Prawns Roast, Shell Fry, Kada Chicken Fry , Chicken Roast and all were equally nice. The. Fish curry was so good and delicious and its piquancy is perfect and thus makes a perfect combination to have them with Kappa ( Tapioca). I have also tried their Karimeen Policathu & Karimeen Fry and it was really delicious and was perfectly blended with spices. Both these variants are slightly expensive than their other dishes and its one of the recommendable dishes out here.
In addition to these mouth watering Kerala Dishes. They offer you fresh toddy in the adjacent toddy shop. Toddies are available in 2 variants both in Coconut and Palm. Both were equally priced at 60 per bottle and it was 2 years back and I am not sure of the present price.
►Cost :
Cost is reasonable and it is similar to a normal restaurants really worth for what you pay.
►My Final Verdict:
I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to indulge in a range of mouth watering treats of traditional Kerala style Nadan Food. "The real taste...

Stepping into the restaurant, one is immediately struck by its transformation from a humble toddy shop-style hut to a contemporary, aesthetically pleasing space. The lush greenery surrounding the property creates a tranquil ambiance, a welcome escape from the urban hustle. The restaurant boasts ample seating, making it a great spot for large groups or a relaxed family meal. The menu, while promising, delivered a mixed bag in terms of flavor. The fish curry meals were a highlight, a comforting and well-balanced dish that truly hit the mark. However, the much-anticipated 'kaka' (mussel) fry was a letdown. It seemed a victim of over-frying, which unfortunately stripped the mussels of their inherent flavor and tender texture, turning them into a crispy, almost bland, offering. Another point of frustration was the beverage selection. Despite being listed on the menu, all juices were unavailable during my visit. This was a notable disappointment, as a fresh juice would have been the perfect complement to the spicy curries. Parking is relatively easy, with a few dedicated spots in front of the restaurant. If those are full, street parking is a viable and convenient alternative. Overall, Kadambra has the potential to be a standout restaurant, with its appealing ambiance and comfortable setting. While some dishes shine, there's room for improvement in execution and menu availability. It's a place worth visiting for its unique atmosphere and the good old fish curry meals, but a little more consistency in the kitchen would make it truly...

One thing to keep in mind is the portien size.Although the waiter explained and recommended dishes,The quantity turned out to be far to much 10 people .this is a common issue these days when trying unfalamier dishes with fancy names.we often don't know what to expect in terms of prepatation, portion size, or richness.we would stronglly recommend checking the portion detils in advance,or even doing a qiick online search about a dish and its typical recipe if you are unsure .After all we are the once paying the bill, and the menu is slighty on the expensive side.
On the plus side the resturnant is exeptionally clean, offers prompt and efficient service.and has a pleasant ambiance with ample parking space .we visit in the noon.and it wasnt crowded ,seating was...
