Trying Mugal darbar soon after lock down started . And I ordered quite a few times just because I'm stuck at home . All the orders I placed was takeaway . Ordered twice directly from the restaurant and few times using delivery agent (rush to you) which also located in Nilamel . Few of the food items which i could remember and i ordered are going to be mentioned below. As per my experience i should come to a conclusion that the food is very below average and no standards in cooking like the quality of oil they use especially. Fried items when ever bought looked as if it was cooked in tar . okay !! Coming to the point i would like to rate the food items i ordered so far . 1)Chicken biryani - 3/10 (no authenticity/ tastes different each day / rice using is of no quality/ absolutely a let down )
2)chicken fry / kabab - 0/10 ( looked as if it was cooked on tar , burned , smells bad , surely the worst oil i have ever tasted , chicken was not tender and quite smelled bad)
machurian / chilly - 4/10 ( once i ordered and it was good so ordered again but i should say it was completely a let down . The issue here also was about the oil they use . The chunks of chicken surely had that bad oil taste . I should say they are not using or using very less food colour here by the way .
kerala parotta - 0/10 ( which i ordered was a complete let down . It was cooked some time of a day and send it to me . Just a chunk of maida it was i should say .. Now a days only few restaurants keep up the authenticity of parota . Okay ! The conclusion is this Restuarant does not keep up that authenticity in case of parotta
chicken roast - 2/10 (ordered roast and was recieved was a yellowish slightly greenish curry with green chillies. It was not tasting bad .. but when i order roast I expect a roast not a gravy ! )
mandi/shawai/alfham - 4/5/6 respectively (Mandi was personally a let down for me . But i should say this place seems to be a very famous plave for mandi . It may be just me who didn't like the taste . And so called shawai (what we called grilled chicken) was not that great I personally did not like the consistency of masala and tenderness aspect of chicken) and coming to alfham it was good but they are not able to keep up the authenticity. Second time ordered it did not tasted the same .
broasted chicken - 6/10 . I did like it . It was not the atmost perfect broasted i had . But compared to other dishes what i had there i liked it a bit atleast . The fried were soggy though . Once they accompanied it with buns which i liked .. but the other two times they accompanied it with those chunky kuboos which resembles a dosa . No choleslaw is providing with broasted .
Folks just telling that you got a better amenity there. Just be good .. make sure what your chefs are doing inside that kitchen . Just improve the quality of the items what to use to prepare food and it will be perfect....

ย ย ย Read moreMy family and I visited this restaurant today, and unfortunately, our experience was less than satisfactory. It's crucial to provide feedback so that improvements can be made.
Firstly, when our plates arrived, we noticed stains on them. We tried to get the waiter's attention for tissue paper, but they seemed inattentive to our needs. We had to go to the cash counter ourselves to request tissue paper for cleaning.
When the food finally arrived, there were issues with our orders. Initially, the waiter only brought the chicken mandi, forgetting about the beef fry we had ordered. It took additional time for them to bring the correct order.
The chicken in the mandi dish was disappointingly sparse in quantity. The beef fry, on the other hand, was mostly fatty pieces and overly spicy, making it less enjoyable.
To make matters worse, despite asking multiple times, we received water only after reminding the staff repeatedly. Even then, they initially provided glasses with stains on them, which was quite off-putting. We finally received clean glasses for our water at the end of the meal.
Overall, our dining experience left much to be desired. While the restaurant has potential, attention to detail, service, and food quality need significant improvement. We hope that the management takes these concerns seriously and works on enhancing the overall...
