Our family visit to Nahdi Mandi in Edappal was an exercise in frustration and disappointment from start to finish. We had been looking forward to trying their famous mutton mandi, especially the kids, but the experience was so poor we will absolutely not be returning or recommending it to anyone.

The first sign of trouble was the long wait for a table, which we patiently endured. However, the real problems began once we were finally seated. We specifically ordered the mutton mandi, the dish we came for, only to be informed after a 30-minute wait that it was completely finished. The fact that no staff member bothered to inform us of this unavailability during that entire half-hour wait is unacceptable. It wasted our time and left our disappointed children (and us) sitting hungry at the table.

The waiter's response to this situation was equally poor. It was dismissive and lacked any sense of apology or genuine concern for our experience. There was no effort to offer a timely alternative or compensate for the significant inconvenience and broken promise.

To compound the misery, a visit to the ground floor toilet revealed appalling conditions. It was clearly not cleaned properly and was in a state of neglect. The flushing mechanism was malfunctioning, adding to the overall unhygienic and unpleasant environment. Basic restaurant hygiene and maintenance seem to be a low priority here.

In summary: Poor Communication & Management: Failing to inform customers about a key dish being unavailable before making them wait 30 minutes is inexcusable.
