Noorjehan Open Grill Restaurant — Restaurant in Kerala

The dining experience was much more than what We expected in the locality where the restaurant is located.

Firstly the mocktails were good and value for money. Secondly the entree starters were well portioned, adequately spiced and well done.. again value for the money, However, Koonthal thengakotthe, squid with coconut chips was a damp squibb... Over spiced and set the palate afire..

We ordred the seafood platter half plate and it was a treat in every worth.

The soups were available by choice both veg and non veg, again no complaints there.

There is a plethora of cuisine from thani naadan to italian, chineese, persian and what not.. it caters to the most sought after cuisine. The portions adequate, well some items are overpriced, but on the whole its value for money.

The only sad part was that deserts were not available as per the menu.. probably the F&B manager screwed up...

The maitrre de was pleasant and made you feel at home, the orders were taken promptly and a wait of 20 minutes the whole fare was laid out... Here I would deduct a mark or two because the starters , drink and soup came all at once... Probably the waiters need to be taught this aspect of dining...

The crockery was clean, warm, and the cutlery had to be asked for , as is the case almost all over south inda, since not many diners like to use a spoon and fork....

The approach to the restaurant is adapted to the needs of the differently abled persons, i.e. wheelchair accessibility is there.

The only sour point was that the toilets and wash rooms need to be cleaned more frequently than what is already being done.

Am grinning ear to ear at the good dining experience in Palakkad town...

I WOULD DEFINITELY MAKE ITVA POINT TO DINE HERE WHENEVER I PASS THROUGH PALAKKAD.... I RECOMMEND THIS PLACE...

Visit date 1april 2022 new location opposite to trinity eye hospital Ordered 3 biriyani and dragon chicken as side dish Biriyani came after 20 minutes which is okay but the side dish dragon chicken came an hour later after we complete the food And when we were about to finish food I told them the dragon chicken is no longer needed But anyhow the waiter brought it as if he didn't hear what I said and just left it on tavle and this dish is ordered by you and just ealked away fast I called the manager and complained about and the dish was cancelled He didn't said there is a delay for this particular item when he served Biriyani The service is good but it should be definitely better than this and should take this to account when a particular order is delayed it should be mentioned to customer as it was busy i had thought the dragon Chicken was missed. The food was excellent loved the Biriyani quantity was sufficient and also had a strong tea which was also very good

Visit date oct 2021 old location opposite to KFC stadium byepass I visited quiet few times.. Had few dishes which were tasty.. I saw fish items little over priced than other hotels,Tried few were good but not excellent...Good staff... Have items little over priced Good ambience , The place is Relatively clean compared to the number of visitors per day.. Didn't have much delay to get to the destination from palakkad town. All covid protocols followed. there was hand sanitization at the entrance of the shop and there is a wheel chair accessible entrance and ambient...

"This is purely based on my experience with the food I ordered" Noorjehan Restaurant is known for its spicy and delicious biryani and other dishes for more than 2 decades(and I had been there with my parents from my childhood ) and the Open Grill is their 3rd branch in Palakkad(as far as I know). I had been to the other two branches alot of times and it's always a pleasurable experience. And I went to Open Grill only once , that too with my family ,my fiancee and it didn't do well there. You won't be getting any attenders unless you stand up and call for one,lol. I stood up there and, looked out for someone, to get their attention and that happend twice. And thus summarising the service was not as expected. The ambience was soo good but the taste of the food didn't meet upto our expectations. The other two branches serve spicy foods and thats what we people love,right? But here ,the food lack spices and salt(we ,the whole family including the best cooks i know concluded that) and the quantity is half of what you get anywhere in Palakkad for that price. If the food tastes that good, we don't have to bother about the price. But for that price and bland taste(what we experienced) we are not planning to go there anymore and it's been 8months and we haven't considered this restaurant yet. But I think, for the ambience and luxury experience ,a lot of family still love this Restaurant. But for me and my family,it's not the ambience and experience but the taste is...
