Ramees is a good restaurant conveniently located on the highway. However, due to ongoing road construction, getting here can be a time-consuming challenge during peak hours. The menu offers a diverse selection, including South Indian traditional dishes and Chinese cuisine. Additionally, there’s a wide variety of beverages—both hot and cold—such as soft drinks, lime lemon, coffee, and tea. Seating capacity is somewhat limited, accommodating around 50 guests at a time. On busy nights, you may need to wait. However, they do have a separate family hall, which is suitable for group of 7-10 people, though only one such hall is available. For those who prefer dining outdoors, an open seating option is also provided for a single group. Parking is not an issue, as the restaurant has its own private parking area with ample space for guests. Overall, Ramees offers a good dining experience with a variety of food choices, but the accessibility challenge due to road construction might be a temporary drawback.

Old review : Nice restaurant... Testy food... Friendly staff... Wonderful ambiance.... Loved it... Current review : One year before I had an experience of serving old food. I noticed it by taste and smell and I claimed the same and they replaced with another plate. Few days before I parceled a few order due to vivid restrictions as I have kids in home. It was my worst experience ever. Much quantity but can't eat it because of odd taste. Chicken soup was nice. All other items were wats.Rice had an odd smell. Chicken recipes had over taste of masala. I don't know what happens to Ramees group. I was a regular customer there, but because of this horrible experience I changed my mind. Don't take parcel from there. If you wish take dine inn only ... Review on 26th feb 2022 Worst.... No improvement. Menu card is just for show. Most items not available. No salt in some dishes, double salt in some other.. waste... Waiter's attitude is unbearable. Don't go there....

Ramees Restaurant in Kollam is truly one of the best places to enjoy delicious food with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Located on the Ground Floor of TV Plaza, Residency Road, near the LIC Building, the restaurant is easy to find and offers a clean, comfortable dining space. The food quality is really impressive – every dish is freshly prepared and served hot. Their menu has a wide range of choices, from authentic Kerala delicacies to North Indian curries, seafood specialties, and even some Arabian dishes. The biryani here is aromatic and flavorful, while the grilled items and tandoori dishes are perfectly cooked with rich spices. The desserts and fresh juices are also worth trying. The staff are polite, attentive, and always ready to help, which makes the experience even better. Overall, Ramees Restaurant is a perfect spot for families, friends, or even business meetings. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Kollam!

Extremely Disappointed

Visited Ramees, Kottiyam on 10/04/25 around 2 PM. Had soup, salad, and biriyani — the food was good, but that’s where the positives end. The service was absolutely PATHETIC. The staff acted like they were doing us a favor by letting us eat there. No greetings, no smile, no basic courtesy. They didn’t even bother to explain the menu or serve the food properly. Their attitude was straight-up arrogant — like they’re paying us to eat there. I specifically asked them to recommend food without Ajinomoto because my wife is pregnant, and instead of helping, they acted rude and annoyed. No care, no professionalism, just harsh behavior. The billing section? Even worse. The guy at the counter spoke in the most disrespectful tone. If this is how they treat guests, I wonder why people still hype this place. Yes, Ramees might be famous in the city, but let me be blunt — food alone doesn’t make a restaurant great. We can get tasty biriyani at local shops too. What we pay extra here — taxes, service charges, tips — is for good service and experience. And clearly, Ramees Kottiyam fails miserably in that. You can cook the best food in the world, but if you can’t treat customers right or train your staff to behave, your restaurant is just an overrated mess. Not coming back, and wouldn’t recommend to anyone who values respect...

Had only Fish Curry meals. Did not feel it was worth the cost of INR130.00. Well probably trying to pull in the infra cost too. Sambar was having only pumpkin and potato, which made it very very thick like a kozhambu. Aviyal had only potato again in large quantity, chef possibly tried making it up with kadala and little more than usual scrapped coconut, but how much can they cover up. Charged for a Sadya and no sweet or payasam or like. No rasam. Fish curry was another joke (you could not have made the fish piece any smaller). The few things I should say I liked was, pappadam which was of very less oil infact almost dry and the right crispiness, the buttermilk was at the right taste and lastly the correct balance of salt and sugar in the lime juice I ordered. The serving of food was also disappointing, I had call out and repeat for additional serves almost in every instance and was waiting for that even after calling out for food. Food should not just feel tasty and enjoyable, it should feel value for money too. Desperately fails on all counts. I will not recommend for a regular meals. Not sure taste of other foods. Keeping that aside, the two other factors which I give much importance too does not score high though....!!! Not an...
