That is really delicious. Visited this place after hearing good reviews from some of my friends. This place is situated near to the national highway, but difficult to notice it from the road. Have some limited parking space and please be cautious about it. Once you reach there, it's an old building with nothing impressive. There is space to accomadate 20-30 people at a time. I reached there after 2.30 PM , but still the seats were almost full and the placed was busy. You will be served boilded rice in the banana lead with three main curries like sambar, fish curry and chicken Curry. Toping to that there are around four side dishes and pappad. It was a whole meal itself. Then comes the star of the menu, fresh river fish fries. I have ordered one kanirmeen (pearlspot) and one chemballi ( name is in local language). These fish fries were at it's best, tender river fish was coated with the yummy masala and that will blow your taste buds. If you need a desert you can opt for the payasam which is served separately. Anyway I was full and I didn't opt for that. Since I know about the price of river fish in this area I thought they may charge a good amount, but to my surprise they have charged 130 rupees for this whole meal. Even I have crosschecked it once again. So it's a 5 out of 5 stars for the Maicha hotel. A must visit if you are going through the national highway passing through nileshwar. Read moreA NOT to be missed Lunch spot at Neeleswaram
This is another favourite Lunch spot we cyclists been to in just another day, this time while at Kasaragod's Neeleswaram Town
We were recommended this place by a nice little family living off coast at the Thaikadappuram beach where we were concluding our cycling event
The place is a little off road as the new ongoing high way project is slightly elevated and just in front of the restaurant
The restaurant has a decent parking space out in the front but one needs to be slightly cautious while driving in and out due to the elevation and busy highway
Coming to the food, rice is served nice and hot with loads of fried fish options
The fried dishes are equally good here compared to the one we had at Payyanur
Couldn't try many varieties here as we had lunch by 12.30 and weren't quite hungry
Payasam is again served here post lunch which was...
