Read moreI have been going to the joint for months now. Whenever I reach palakkad, i surely visit this place with my family. However, my recent experience here has been disappointing. Kesari bath from here used to be one of my favourite dishes. As always we ordered quite a lot of items and to my shock the kesari bath which i received seemed to have a bad or a foul taste. The kesari bath which my mother received was good. I was confused as in how my mother received a good one and I got a stale one. I quickly walked to talk with the person who was standing near the counter. He replied inhesistently that mine was the morning one and my mother received the latest or evening one. Without having any guilt he replied. He added, we are managing a huge operation, so we cannot taste everything before we serve. In case if you receive a bad food , we we will get it changed. So easily he said that in a flow. Wow! What an attitude? is this how he should have responded? Is this the way? Without any apology or guilt? I just said I do not want your replacement, as i already lost my apittete by hearing what you said. I declined to have it and walked away. Then the other day during the same week, my nephew wanted to have falooda. So we ordered falooda with some other items too. Immediately after having his first spoon, he said, Mama, there is some bad taste coming from the falooda. When i checked it, I found some of the fruits in the dish has gone stale. I again went to talk with them, this time it was some other person. He replied without any shame, we cut the fruits before, we cannot cut as and when required. We can't do anything much. Shall I give you something else? This response, I lost all the love or respect that I had for this restaurant from last so many months. None of the people here had any feeling of shame or remorse which in such incidents one is expected to have. Nor i received any apology. They were open about how unethically they operate their restaurant without any fear. After this incident I never went to this restaurant. When they started they managed it very well. I was very much impressed with their attitude but now they have become highly disappointing. Won't ever visit any of their outlets....

Facility wise, Social Kitchen is well-structured and has a warm ambiance that's welcoming for families. I recently visited this restaurant with my family, and while we had an enjoyable experience, there were some aspects that left us with mixed feelings.
The menu offered an exciting variety of dishes, and we decided to try the Chilli Gopi, Mushroom Fried Rice, and Paneer Fried Rice. The flavors were undoubtedly delicious, and the vegetarian options were a treat for our taste buds.
However, one downside was that the food wasn't served as hot as we would have preferred. Despite its tastiness, the lukewarm serving temperature was a bit disappointing, as it affected our overall dining experience.
Another issue that caught our attention was the presence of house-flies everywhere. It was quite off-putting and made us feel uncomfortable during our meal. We hope the management can address this issue promptly to provide a more pleasant dining environment for their guests.
On a positive note, the variety of shakes available on the menu was impressive. We tried the Mango, Strawberry, and Aval Milk shakes. The Aval Milk shake stood out for its creamy texture and delightful taste. Pricing for the shakes was reasonable, which was a relief considering the quality they offered.
Social Kitchen follows a self-service mode, and while some might find it convenient, others might prefer a more traditional dining experience. If you're okay with self-service, you'll find it comfortable and efficient.
In conclusion, Social Kitchen is a decent vegetarian restaurant with a well-structured facility and a diverse menu that caters to different tastes. The food, though not served piping hot, is undeniably tasty. However, the issue with house-flies needs attention. If you enjoy self-service setups and are seeking a variety of shakes to complement your meal, this place might just be the right...
