I recently visited Spoon and Casa Mia restaurant on my trip back from Munnar, and I must say I was quite disappointed with my experience. The customer service was not up to the mark, and the parking facilities were lacking.

Although the interior of the restaurant looked promising, my excitement quickly turned into disappointment when I ordered the normal Alfham. The dish lacked flavoring and tasted like it was burnt inside, making it difficult to swallow. The only advantage was that it was juicy and not dry. The mayonnaise was also not up to the mark, with a slimy texture that did not appeal to my taste buds. The Kuboos, which I had also ordered, were too hard, and even after reporting the issue to the staff, I had to wait more than ten minutes for a replacement, which I eventually canceled.

To top it off, the lime drink that I ordered was too sweet, which made me even more disappointed with the food quality. When I reported the issue to the manager after billing, I was met with an unsympathetic response, with the manager said why I did not raise the issue before making payment. Although I did not ask for a refund, I did mention that the restaurant needed to improve its food quality and customer service.

The bakery is ok but expensive but the restaurant is a disaster. Their fried rice is sub standard and they served old chicken in chilly chicken curry. A burger that cost 140 had smaller patty than the bun size. I had also ordered a birthday cake for my daughter's first birthday which was again an utter flop. I initially wanted a two layer cake of 1½ kg but they said that, for the cake to have two layers I need to order atleast 3kg cake otherwise it won't look good. And as they were not willing to make a cake which I showed, I decided instead to order from the cakes what they regularly make. So selected a cake that was a 1½ kg where the height was higher than a regular cake and it had some decoration in the picture shown to me. It cost around 1100. But when I got the cake it was two layered which they initially said won't look good, the food color used on the cake wasn't easy to wash off our hands. And the decoration on the top was very bad. Since the height of the cake was more, they gave my cake in a carton box which was embarrassing for me to walk in front of my guets with it. The only saving grace for our guests on the birthday was that the taste was ok. However everyone had a hard time to wash off the cream's color.
