Sri Mu Saravana Bhavan — Restaurant in Kerala

One of the worst restaurants I’ve been to. Saravana bhavan being a big name you would never expect the restaurant to be this dirty, the menu to be this bad and the staff to be this ignorant.

To start with, we went in there post lunch on the way back home from guruvayur. The restaurant was so dead, they did not have any food available like very limited 1-2 items. But still we decided not to leave. Ordered ghee dosa naan, paneer masala and paneer porotta

The washroom was a hellhole. There was stains everywhere and the sink had vomit in it and they did not clean it for god knows how long. My mom had to ask them to go clean it and they gave her the looks.

The food took forever to come and the paneer was undercooked and the salad had no salt in it and was very bland. I called the waiters and asked them about it and they were acting stupid (sorry if it’s offensive but no other word describes the situation better)

We told them what was wrong and they just stood smiling and nodding. Finally they took the salad to add salt and they took almost 20 mins to come back. The paneer was undercooked and raw. For the curry and the other item. We complained and they did not take it back or fix it.

When we call them to even give us tissue they were very hesitant and giving us looks and was talking about it amongst themselves.

Finally when the bill came I went tolf the hit at the counter the scene and even he kept smiling at us as tho I was joking around.

Like I’m the customer and I’m saying this, it’s to be dealt with. Not to casually smile and move on. Anyways, we were on a rush, we just paid. But I told him it was the worst experience and I would be putting a review on this. He was like “sure sir, please give 5 star” like what are you guys...

Yesterday me and my friend had food from there in the midnight, so we had 4 chapati & 2 tea but the bill makes me shock its about Rs 204. I didnt check the bill , after driving my friend told me they charged 204 rs for thqt dinner, literally iam shocked about that, the food was ok, but how could charge like this much, my froend told me to leave. But i want to know about the value for wat we had. So the people told me they are charging 2 chapati &curry for 80 rs . so i calculate 20rs per piece and 1 for 80 and whats the next, i didnt have any curry because im not satisify about to hqve veggies in the midnight and i only have some sambar, and that for they are charging 80 rupees, i might think is we are in kerala or some other state for this type of looting, iam not satisfied for that & one more.
