Steak House Restaurant — Restaurant in Kerala

I’ve visited Steak House several times before, both with my family and alone. The food has always been hit or miss — sometimes decent, other times just average. But what happened last night was completely unacceptable.

I ordered fried rice and dragon chicken. The dragon chicken looked like it was thrown together in a last-minute rush — the chicken was literally bathed in sauce with no proper preparation. The fried rice had big chunks of egg omelette (not even scrambled) and large, unshredded pieces of chicken. It honestly felt like leftover ingredients were dumped together and served without care.

It was around 11 PM, and my wife suspected they were in a hurry to close — and the poor quality of the food definitely reflected that. I informed the person at the counter, expecting at least a basic apology or some acknowledgment. But there was absolutely no reaction — not a word of concern or even a “sorry.” I even mentioned it again while paying, and still got the same cold response. The attitude was like, “Eat if you want, or just leave.” Extremely unprofessional and rude.

To top it all off, I woke up this morning with vomiting tendencies and stomach pain. I’m literally writing this review from the toilet — that’s how bad the food was.

This was a very bad experience, and I will never visit Steak House again. Totally...

We were recently visited this restaurant with my family, and our experience was a mixed bag.

The Fried Rice and Chicken 65 were delicious and well-prepared. However, the Biriyani was a major disappointment. It lacked flavor and consisted of only two small pieces of chicken with gravy covered with rice. The Raita was too watery, and the juices tasted like flavored water.

The staff were courteous and helpful, which was a positive aspect of our visit. Availability of baby crib is appreciated.

However, there were some issues that affected our overall experience. Despite a notice indicating that a particular section was reserved for families, three unrelated men were seated nearby, making us feel uncomfortable and stared at.

Furthermore, the cleanliness of the toilets was appalling and requires immediate attention.

Overall, this restaurant needs to improve its food quality, particularly the Biriyani, and address the cleanliness and ambiance issues to provide a better dining experience...

Bad Service. Old food.

It was once the best restaurants in Payyannur. I wish it still was. But that's not the case.

Ordered a simple item in the menu and they said the Chef is taking a rest so they can't provide that at the moment. Don't know for sure if that was just an excuse or for real. Most of the items you see on the menu are not available in there. The way they dealt with our orders and the delivery ruined the dining experience.

Their Kuzhimanthi is good. Only few items are pretty good in this restaurant. The service definitely needs improvement. The way they treat customers, the way they deliver the food in time, all these things definitely need an improvement.

Other than minor weirdness, it WAS a reasonably good restaurant in Payyannur.

UPDATE ................ They served heated up yesterdays food and it was evident. Very bad service and bad hygiene. This restaurant has been destroyed by terrible management. I will never visit this restaurant again. So...
